So we only need to sell off 692307.692308 signed torches by Wiggo to break even on the Olympics! Seems feasible...
"Every Olympics has its indelible images, and some marketing experts believe the London Games were colored neon yellow thanks to Nike"
Take that corporate sponsors, the underdog Nike just took Olympic Gold! Although, wait, I'm not sure that they're any better... Hmmm
This glorious festival hasn’t changed us, but it has shown just what we’re capable of, says Boris Johnson...

Team GB have enjoyed great success but the government wants the longer-term economic legacy to be just as productive.
TeamGB success has definitely provided a much needed boost to British moral, despite the fact that London became a showcase of corporate branding & entertainment.
But sure that we'll soon come down again and remember the 13Bn spent, the jobs that haven't been created and the economy that has seen no real stimulation.

"What of British fashion’s role in these London Olympic Games?
"Models : While it may have made for powerful imagery in the pages of Vogue, on the global stage of the Olympic stadium, it simply wasn’t impactful."
“Seeing models strut in six-inch heels looked a little less impressive after a fortnight of watching extraordinary athletic feats, not least because those who performed them had to stand on the sidelines and watch some women walk about in clothes.”
Morning newspaper round-up: Assessing China's performance as the London 2012 Olympic Games close.
Plenty of references in Chinese national papers to 'fair play' and 'fair refereeing'. Don't think badminton nor poor Liu Xiang will be quickly forgotten.
"Video of John Lennon singing "Imagine" stunned audiences at the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics on Sunday."
One of the many moving moments, too difficult to choose a favorite.

Moss – who has been involved in controversies involving her alleged cocaine abuse - was branded an ‘overpaid drug abusing model’ on Twitter. And Campbell - known for hurling mobile phones - prompted raised eyebrows, too.
Did the appearance of Moss and Campbell really cause a backlash on Twitter or are we just looking for a story in what was otherwise a successful event ? The ladies were beautiful and added some extra glamour to the evening. From what I gathered on Twitter there were some sarcastic remarks and jokes, but please, a mass 'backlash' there was not!
Thanks in large part to the rise in social media usage, theres been no shortage of controversy at the London Olympics.

Topless feminist activists stormed central London yesterday, part of a radical Ukrainian group, protesting the Olympics' "support" for radical Islamist regimes.
Shouldn't these girls been left to peacefully protest? Don't understand why we have to be arrested for showing a bit of breast. GB freedom of speech seems to no longer exist when it involves the Olympics.
