I don't think they will see the economy imporving anytime soon with Obam as President with gas prices up and the number of people on food stamps going up and a large majority of teens, minorities/hispanics&blacks underemployed or unemployed.

Australia PM's Epic Rant on Sexism Wins High Praise | Littlebytesnews Current Events | Scoop.it
What has to be the most viewed political video of the day has nothing to do with Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, or even Big Bird. It is Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard's 15-minute takedown of a political rival she views as sexist.

Alex Leek's curator insight, September 16, 2013 10:11 AM

This is a video of Australia's now former Prime Minister Julia Gillard giving a speech on sexism. She is arguing agaisnt her opposition Tony Abbot in the election of Prime Minister of Australia. She calls Abbot out on being a mysoginist and a sexist. She calls him out for contradicting himself by saying that misoginsits are not appropriate for high office and then making many sexist and rude comments about women. She says how offended she and other women were by the many comments he has made about abortion and that he was associated with a sign calling her offensive and demeaning names.

I think it's awesome that she stood up for herself and the women in Australia. She was offended and angered by what this man who is supposed to be highly regarded was saying about women and she said something about it. She did all her research and she had all the facts straight to help prove her point and prove to people that Abbot was a misoginsit.

She voted for Obama in 2008, it's great to see that she has the wisdom to see what others don't or won't because they would rather re-elect Obama because of his skin color or 'likability'. People are so rude and pathetic on the left. They are not tolerant of anyone who disagrees with him. Stacey Dash concludes chose Romney not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character'.

Obama’s Schedule Suggests He Thinks He’s Doing Fine

Obama’s Schedule Suggests He Thinks He’s Doing Fine | Littlebytesnews Current Events | Scoop.it
Jim Geraghty writes on NRO: From the Tuesday edition of the Morning Jolt: Andrew Sullivan’s Panic Level Is Elevated from Orange ‘High’ to Red ‘Severe’ I know you’re probably no fan of reading Andrew Sullivan most days, but when he’s in full...

meltdown mode… well, pretty fun once he flips out about the sudden, dramatic reversal in the Pew poll:

I’m trying to rally some morale, but I’ve never seen a candidate this late in the game, so far ahead, just throw in the towel in the way Obama did last week – throw away almost every single advantage he had with voters and manage to enable his opponent to seem as if he cares about the middle class as much as Obama does. How do you erase that imprinted first image from public consciousness: a president incapable of making a single argument or even a halfway decent closing statement? And after Romney’s convincing Etch-A-Sketch, convincing because Obama was incapable of exposing it, Romney is now the centrist candidate, even as he is running to head up the most radical party in the modern era.

How can Obama come back? By ensuring people know that Romney was and is a shameless liar and opportunist? That doesn’t work for a sitting president. He always needed a clear positive proposal – tax reform, a Grand Bargain on S-B lines – as well as a sterling defense of his admirable record. Bill Clinton did the former for him. Everyone imaginable did what they could for him. And his response? Well, let’s look back a bit:

With President Obama holed up in a Nevada resort for debate practice, things can get pretty boring on the White House beat right now. Pretty boring for Obama too, apparently. “Basically they’re keeping me indoors all the time,” Obama told a supporter on the phone during a visit to a Las Vegas area field office. “It’s a drag,” he added. “They’re making me do my homework.”

Too arrogant to take a core campaign responsibility seriously. Too arrogant to give his supporters what they deserve. If he now came out and said he supports Simpson-Bowles in its entirety, it would look desperate, but now that Romney has junked every proposal he ever told his base, and we’re in mid-October, it’s Obama’s only chance on the economy.

Obama’s taking those core responsibilities seriously now, right, Keith Koffler of White House Dossier?

And how did Obama spend Sunday and Monday?

He came; he spoke; he fundraised. And now he’s heading to Kern County. President Barack Obama graced Los Angeles Sunday and Monday during a quick trip to raise funds for his re-election campaign.

Taking place before two Sunday fundraisers was an exclusive event at the Beverly Hills home of DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, who co-hosted a $40,000-a-plate soiree at George Clooney’s L.A. home in May. About a dozen people attended Sunday’s “thank you event for a small group of donors” who contributed high amounts to his campaign, said press secretary Jennifer Psaki, according to City News Service. Former president Bill Clinton joined Obama for the intimate gathering.

Obama then headed east to Downtown L.A.’s L.A.

Live to rock with supporters, including Jon Bon Jovi, Jennifer Hudson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder and Katy Perry, at the “30 Days to Victory” concert. Following the tunes, Obama did not sing, rather he spoke for 22 minutes to the crowd of about 6,000 concert-goers, highlighting his accomplishments, such as ending the Iraq War, lessening America’s role in Afghanistan, health care legislation and the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” He also reminded the crowd why he’s running for a second term as president: “The last thing we can afford right now is four years of the very same policies that led us to the crises in the first place.”

LBN:
Obama's arrogance is going to cost him the election...that is if he doesn't have plans to steal it like his pal Chavez did in Venezuela. There is no other explanation for someone to be so over-confident and arrogant to act like he is winning after such a poor debate other than he plans to steal the election or buy the election with donations from foreign countries and celebrities??

DESPERATE Obama: I’m Only Going To Win If ‘Everybody Is Almost Obsessive’ - CBS DC

DESPERATE Obama: I’m Only Going To Win If ‘Everybody Is Almost Obsessive’ - CBS DC | Littlebytesnews Current Events | Scoop.it
"I very much intend to win this election," Obama told donors in San Francisco Monday night.

"I very much intend to win this election," Obama told donors in San Francisco Monday night.

A Republican familiar with some of Romney’s polling says that internal polls before last Wednesday showed Obama with 5-point leads in Ohio and Virginia. In Ohio, Romney was winning in conservative congressional districts before the debate, but only by 1 or 2 percentage points instead of the 5 or 6 he would need to carry the state. But post-debate Romney has opened a 5-point lead in those districts in internal polling, according to the person who spoke on a condition of anonymity without authorization to publicly discuss the polls.

As negative ads blanketed the toss-up states, the Obama campaign on Tuesday unleashed one on national broadcast and cable networks featuring its favorite new weapon — Big Bird.

Employing ominous narration, the spot ridicules Romney for singling out the “Sesame Street” character and PBS subsidies as examples of how he would cut spending. “One man has the guts to say his name,” says the ad, flashing to Romney and then the feathered creature. “Big. Yellow. A menace to our economy. Mitt Romney knows it’s not Wall Street you have to worry about. It’s Sesame Street.”

The Romney campaign ridiculed Obama’s campaign for focusing on Big Bird instead of serious issues. Romney spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg pointed to Obama’s speech accepting the Democratic nomination in 2008, when he said, “If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things.”

LBN:
Desperation has set in on the Obama campaign after Obama's failed performance at the first debate with Romney. After leading in most polls going into the debate, Obama is continuing to lose support and voter enthusiasm. Despite trying to boost his poll numbers after the lower jobs rate last week, Obama is continuing to lose support. If Biden fails to motivate voters on Thursday the Obama campaign could be coming to the end. Hopefully Ryan will outperform Biden, despite Biden having more experience campaigning and debating.

However, Biden is known for putting his foot in his mouth, while Ryan is more intellectual and capable of sticking to issues without going on the defensive.

More:Obama 'believed he had BEATEN Romney' in Denver debate - Obama visited the Hoover Dam the day before the debate rather than prep | Littlebytesnews Current Events | Scoop.it
President Barack Obama did not take his debate preparation seriously, ignored the advice of senior aides and walked off the stage in Denver believing he had got the better of Mitt Romney, according to a Democrat close to the Obama campaign.

Obama visited the Hoover Dam the day before the debate rather than prep

The Democrat, who is aligned with the Obama campaign and has been an unofficial adviser on occasions, said that David Axelrod, Obama's chief strategist, was stunned that the President left the stage feeling that he had won the debate.
'To his credit, the President believes that debates are about substance rather than performance. He felt that his argument about the direction this country should take was much stronger than Romney's. Unfortunately, that's not the way modern debates work.'

During his debate preparation in Henderson, Nevada, Obama broke off to visit a campaign field office. There, he joked with a volunteer about how his advisers were 'keeping me indoors all the time' to practice. 'It's a drag. They're making me do my homework.

A poll out yesterday showed that three times more people thought Romney won than Obama

Although it took Obama more than 24 hours, the Democrat said, to concede that Romney had soundly beaten him, the President's aides realised immediately they had a major problem.
Almost immediately, the campaign's central message that Romney was a captive of the hard-Right wing of his party was shifted to portraying him as a flip-flopper.

At the same time, the campaign decided to accuse Romney of lying in the debate and also sought to highlight his comments about cutting public funding of the PBS network by making hay with the republican's quip that 'I love Big Bird'.
The Romney campaign believes that the result has been disjointed and reeks of panic.

On a press conference call the day after the debate, Axelrod said the campaign would take 'a hard look' at what had happened and would 'make some judgements about where to draw the lines in these debates and how to use our time'.
He is understood to have taken charge of debate preparation and be planning on longer, more streamlined sessions with fewer people present.

Obama's Ring Says What??

Obama's Ring Says What?? | Littlebytesnews Current Events | Scoop.it
#Obama #Election2012 #fraud #terrorism #islam #jihad #Romney #PaulRyan...

...newly published photographs of Obama from the 1980s show that the ring Obama wore on his wedding-ring finger as an unmarried student is the same ring Michelle Robinson put on his finger at the couple’s wedding ceremony in 1992.

Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: “There is no God except Allah.”

“There can be no doubt that someone wearing the inscription ‘There is no god except Allah’ has a very close connection to Islamic beliefs, the Islamic religion and Islamic society to which this statement is so strongly attached,”

What happened with his conversion to Christianity?

Obama himself writes that he was only baptised in his mid 20's !

Nobody, except Obama knows if his conversion to Christianity is real or not. Although some reports and even Obama have referred to a "baptism", there doesn't appear to be any record of a baptism.

Chicago-based journalist, broadcaster and critic Andy Martin, when asked about Obama's baptism, wrote, "I have never been able to obtain any evidence that he was baptized, although I asked for those records."

It seems that Obama's conversion occurred when he answered one of Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright's altar calls by walking down the aisle of Trinity Church to make a formal commitment of his faith.

Cathleen Falsani, religion columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, writes, "He (Obama) described his conversion experience in his mid-20s, how he walked the aisle at Trinity United Church of Christ one Sunday in a public affirmation of his private change of heart."I came to Christianity through the black church tradition where the line between evangelical and non-evangelical is completely blurred. Nobody knows exactly what it means."

...Pastor, Usama Dakdok, who had called Obama’s church to ask about membership:

“Do I have to be baptized to join the church?” asked Pastor Dakdok. “No, you don’t,” was the answer. “You can be a member without being baptized.”
“And what exactly is required to become a member?” The answer: “You attend two Sunday school classes in a row about membership, and then you walk the aisle.”

Chavez steals reelection, and the opposition goes along-Don't let it happen in November!

Chavez steals reelection, and the opposition goes along-Don't let it happen in November! | Littlebytesnews Current Events | Scoop.it
CARACAS - President Hugo Chavez won his bid for re-election Sunday in the most unscrupulous electoral exercise these commentators have witnessed in 20 presidential contests spanning 56 years.

Venezuela's economic decline under Chavez's 14-year rule has come despite its enormous oil wealth -- production has fallen by one-third. Venezuelans had every right to vote for a change, and they did. But the Chavez regime snatched it from them.

The 54 percent to 44 percent Chavez victory declared by the National Electoral Council, or CNE, numbering four chavistas and one opositor, simply ignored multiple allegations of ghost voter registrations, extensive delaying tactics, dubious voting machine problems and, most of all, outright intimidation.

As early as last February, noted socio-political critic Eric Ekvall wrote persuasively about the illegal registration issue, stating that Caracas voting lists had been grossly inflated, with no substantive action taken by CNE or the opposition United Democratic Movement to correct the situation.

Prior to the election, the consulate in Miami -- home to the largest Venezuelan expatriate community of more than 20,000 -- was simply closed. Expatriate voters were told they would have to travel to New Orleans to vote.

CNE officials in at least three Caracas voting centers refused to permit manual voting, as prescribed by CNE regulations, when backup voting machines functioned improperly, stopping voting entirely for several hours.

At a Montalban polling center in Caracas, chavista thugs fired shots at the building, successfully intimidating voters.

Following expat voting in London, Chavez's ambassador refused to have the ballots counted in public, as required. The same happened in New Orleans.

Despite efforts to offset fears, recent polling found 40 percent of Venezuelans still believed their votes were not secret. Yet Capriles spoke not a word about Chavez's massive fraud-by-fear campaign or the accompanying pay-for-votes program. In avoiding these crucial factors, Capriles tacitly welcomed Chavez to lead Venezuela for six more years of tempest and turmoil, quite possibly jeopardizing his own political future.

Chavez continues in defiance of his hero Simon Bolivar, who stated 193 years ago: "Nothing is as dangerous as allowing a citizen to be in power for a long time. People get used to obeying and he to commanding them, which is how usurpation of power and tyranny originate."

Related:

The opposition candidate Henrique Capriles quickly accepted the result. But on Sunday night and throughout Monday, reports that votes were manipulated began to circulate on social media sites like Twitter.

This prompted some Venezuelans to express their distaste with the country's electoral system, and create a hashtag called #fraudeVenezuela, which became a trending topic.

The Monday night protest was made up of about 250 people, mostly university students, in Caracas' Altamira neighborhood.

"We're tired of being stepped on," said Ligia Cabruja, an audiovisual production student at a local university. "Six more years of this government would be an abuse a dictatorship," added the student, who pointed out that Chavez has held power in Venezuela since 1999.

Students at the protest spoke about a report that is circulating online which claims that 2.9 million votes in Venezuela were not properly counted. Venezuela's opposition leaders have dismissed such information.

Why Obama's Falling Apart

Why Obama's Falling Apart | Littlebytesnews Current Events | Scoop.it
Geraghty: A presidential reelection campaign needs three key elements: a defense of the incumbent’s record, a successful effort to define the opposition and a compelling vision of a second term.

President Obama may well celebrate a second term in Chicago next month, but the conventional wisdom underestimates the difficulty he faces, as his campaign has distinct problems with all three elements.

His defense of his record is exceptionally weak, his effort to define Mitt Romney is nearly exhausted, and his vision for the next four years — perhaps the most important — has been largely missing from his effort this year.

Defense of the incumbent’s record
Four years ago, Obama expressed great confidence that he would be running amid renewed prosperity; he famously told Matt Lauer, “One nice thing about the situation I find myself in is that I will be held accountable. You know, I’ve got four years...If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

In February 2009, even most Republicans would probably have predicted that by 2012, the country would be feeling much more prosperous, with much lower unemployment.

Friday’s jobs report brought much-needed good news, with the 114,000 new jobs in the payroll survey meeting economists’ expectations and bringing unemployment down to 7.8% — but that was fueled by 582,000 part-time jobs. GDP growth is at a meager 1.3%, gasoline is averaging $3.78 per gallon nationally and the foreclosure rate is only slightly below 2011’s 17-year peak.

Any fan of Obama who tells you he expected the country to be in this condition at this moment is either lying to you or lying to themselves.

Paul Solman, the business and economics editor for PBS’s “NewsHour,” believes that the long-term unemployed — those who have stopped looking for a year or more, but say they want a job, a figure reaching about 7 million — should be included in the public definition of unemployed, as should the “discouraged workers,” those looking for work sometime in the past year but has stopped looking for work.

Throw in those working part-time who want full-time work and cannot find it, and our calculation of America’s “unemployed” booms from 12.1 million to an ungodly 27 million. As we approach the day of decision, Americans may look the scale of continuing economic pain and wonder if Clinton was right, that this is really the best anyone could reasonably expect.

Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/falling-article-1.1176348#ixzz28qNFsPKm

LBN:
If anyone thinks Obama is entitled to another four years as POTUS, they need to get realistic. Nobody has been re-elected with gas prices this high and the rising unemployment rate. Even if unemployment dropped to 7.8% last week, in reality teen unemployment is up, unemployment among minorities is over 20%, including Blacks&Hispanics, two voting groups Obama is counting on. Hopefully more of them will wake up to the reality that we need real leadership in Washington and someone with the experience getting people to work and work together. Romney has that experience and the knowledge needed to turn this economy around. Obama's tax and spend plan is not going to fix the economy. It will be more of the same despite him claiming things will improve.

If he hasn't been able to fix things to his pre-election rates, what makes anyone think he can fix it in another four years??

Obama doesn't have a record to run on, is using personal attacks on Romney and is unable to defend his policies. There's nothing of substance in Obama's campaign and that is why he couldn't prove himself at the first debate and why he goofed off prior to the debate. He thought he had the election in the bag because he has the media in his pocket and is counting on those on welfare to keep him in office. Despite those who will still vote for him because they think he's going to help the poor and provide free Obama phones and health care, most people know better and have seen that socialism doesn't work and has never worked anywhere it has been tried.

Europe is suffering economically because of socialist policies and countries like Greece, Spain and France are still having to cut back. What the government promises they can also take away. Once there isn't enough revenue coming in, due to high unemployment, the govt programs become unsustainable.

Several crucial swing states with large military populations have seen particularly dramatic reductions in requests – Virginia and Ohio ballot requests are both down 70 percent from 2008 and Florida has seen a 46 percent reduction. And thanks to our Pentagon and Department of Justice, our federal government could have a hand in this sad reality.

A recent Department of Defense Inspector General report concluded that the Pentagon may not have been taking the actions required to implement the 2009 Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act. For example, investigators found that they could only contact about 50 percent of the required voting-assistance offices at each military installation. These voting offices are supposed to offer voter registration documents to service-members when they check-in to a new duty station in much the same way that state governments are required to allow voter registration at the DMV.

In 2010, two Department of Justice whistleblowers within the DOJ’s voting-rights section accused the Obama administration of intentionally stalling in-state enforcement of the MOVE Act, potentially resulting in thousands of ballots reaching service-members too late for their votes to be counted. Additionally, critics alleged that while the DOJ website had an entire section devoted to felons looking to recover their voting rights, there was no current information for military and overseas voters.

A recent poll from MilitaryTimes.com shows Romney leads Obama 2:1 in military votes. Military Times poll of more than 3,100 active and reserve troops:

Romney 66% Obummer 26%

The Military Times Poll is a secure email survey of active-duty, National Guard and reserve members who are subscribers to the Military Times newspapers

The Military Times poll shows that Republicans continue to enjoy overwhelming support among the military’s professional ranks.

“There is really an affinity for Republican candidates, even though [troops] say that what counts is character and handling the economy,” said Richard Kohn, who teaches military history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

When asked about the most important issue guiding their vote this year, about 66 percent of respondents cited either “the economy” or “the character of the candidate.” Less than 16 percent of troops surveyed cited “national security.”

...Most respondents to the Military Times poll were highly critical of Obama’s performance as commander in chief, especially his handling of the defense budget and national security strategy.

Sixty-two percent rated his handling of the defense budget as only fair or poor, while 57 percent applied the same rating to his handling of the war in Afghanistan.

Capt. John Bowe, a Marine military policeman stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., said he’s voting for Romney because it’s clear Obama is doing a poor job with the nation’s finances.

“You cannot add $6 trillion to the [national] debt in 3½ years and not expect massive repercussions,” he said.

Bowe, the Marine military police captain, added that the Obama administration’s handling of Libya after Moammar Gadhafi was deposed amounted to “colossal mismanagement” and ultimately cost the life of a U.S. ambassador.

“If you’re not an effective manager … you can’t run anything else,” Bowe said.

The strong views expressed by Bowe and the other poll respondents were not uncommon in this year’s election survey.

Republicans Baffled by Obama Outpacing Romney in Fundraising??<Foreign Donations | Littlebytesnews Current Events | Scoop.it
Republicans have been puzzled by how the Obama campaign has outpaced Mitt Romney’s campaign in fundraising, especially after the Obama campaign dramatically increased its fundraising in August and September with the help of small-dollar donations...

LBN:
Not baffled...but doubtful it is honest campaign money because his website is set up to take foreign donations and the Obama campaign has a history of taking foreign donations.

Pew: Romney leads Obama among likely voters - USA TODAY

Pew: Romney leads Obama among likely voters - USA TODAY | Littlebytesnews Current Events | Scoop.it
USA TODAYPew: Romney leads Obama among likely votersUSA TODAYMitt Romney now leads President Obama by four points among likely voters following a strong debate performance last week, according to polling by the Pew Research Center.

LBN:
While the polls are starting to lean in Romney's favor as they should have all along, we must take it with a grain of salt and skepticism. The pollsters can be deceptive since they have been boosting Obama the whole time until his obvious failed first debate. The media couldn't cover up for him and now they have to accept the reality that he failed and the polls are reflecting that. However, be prepared for the pollsters to try and turn things around in Obama's favor and make it look like he's making a come back, just as they tried to do last week with the weak and questionable unemployment drop to 7.8%.

Stay focused and don't count on the polls...make sure you get out and vote and get others to vote for Romney/Ryan, especially your Christian friends/family. A vote for Obama is a vote against God and life, liberty and happiness!

This is what happens when you vote for liberalism...don't let it happen nationally by re-electing Obama. We are on the wrong path!
