A Philadelphia high school that normally requires students to wear uniforms initiated a casual dress day on Wednesday. But for one student at Charles Carroll High School, the opportunity to dress down was accompanied by a public dressing down, station KSDK reports.
Samantha Pawlucy, a sophomore, came to school clad in a Romney-Ryan T-shirt. The day passed without incident until she arrived at her geometry class. Her teacher, who is black, became so exercised at the sight of the shirt that she ordered the 16-year-old out of her classroom. When Samantha refused to leave, the teacher told her to remove the shirt, demanding to know whether her parents were (cover your ears) "R*p*blican." She explained that Carroll High is a "Democratic school" and that wearing a Republican shirt is in her view akin to wearing a KKK shirt.
Still not satisfied that this important lesson had taken, the teacher marched Samantha out into the hallway, where she urged other teachers and students to mock her for her impertinence.
"I was really embarrassed and shocked," the teen is quoted as saying. "I didn't think she'd go in the hallway and scream to everyone."
Samantha told reporters that she had decided to wear the shirt after researching the two major party candidates for president and concluding that she liked Romney's message better. Her father, Richard Pawlucy, said she was especially interested in Romney's opposition to partial-birth abortion.
The elder Pawlucy said that his daughter was visibly upset when she returned home after the incident but was initially reluctant to reveal what had happened out of fear of retaliation from the school.
The parents demanded a meeting with the school administration. The teacher, whose name has not been revealed, claimed it was all a joke. The incident is under investigation by the district, which for the time has transferred the teacher to another classroom, where she can inflict her narrow-mindedness and bigotry on a fresh set of youngsters.
The incident is reminiscent of another in May, in which a North Carolina teacher told her class that speaking out against Barack Obama could result in their being imprisoned.
LBN: The analysis by 'Lionel' at the end of this news segment tells it all...if it were a student wearing an Obama t-shirt the teacher would have ignored it or probably praised her, but because it was a t-shirt supporting the Republican party and conservative principles, not the liberal ideology she was chastised and bullied by the teacher. Now she is being bullied on facebook by other students thanks to this teachers bullying. The teacher has been temporarily suspended but I don't doubt the union will make sure she keeps her job and the student will have to change classes or schools.
It's time parents and the public stand up for student's rights and their right to free speech. Just because you may not agree with someone elses opinion or politics doesn't mean you can ostricize them and humiliate them in public or use it as an excuse to bully or commit violence against anyone else, as the Islamists have been doing whenever their false prophet Mohammed is ridiculed.
(TheBlaze/AP) — A variety of issues are at stake in the 2012 presidential election. From abortion to the economy, these elements are diverse.
LBN: We are most at risk of losing freedom....from religious liberty to the right to choose our own health care, doctor and foods. Freedom is under the greatest attack in this election and we must fight to defend it at all costs.
What's a small company to do if required to offer health insurance? This is a question many small business owners are facing.
Most small businesses want to be able to provide the incentives that attract quality employees. However, if they are forced to comply, many small businesses may have no other choice than to close the door. Being forced to accept a union under the proposed law would require a business to seek labor specialists to help in the establishing of a union. That might force an employer to stop thinking about the day to day business issues and to focus on labor laws instead. Negotiation can be expensive and that is another nail that small business owners cannot afford.
Small businesses, who are forced to pay sick leave or medical leave, or provide health care benefits, may find the cost of doing business too great. It may not be that they don’t want to provide better benefits – they just might not be able to afford them. Or, if they are forced to provide these benefits, they will most likely be forced to raise their prices, which will impact the public as well.
The Government Perspective seems to be a very altruistic thought process. If only 7% of the private sector is currently unionized, what makes the government think the other 93% wishes to be unionized? Have they done a focus group? Have they surveyed those businesses? Or are they listening to lobbyist who are encouraging them to act? I doubt if many of the Senators and probably just a few of the Representatives, have every been a business owner. The cost of doing business runs from not providing benefits and paying for it by not being able to attract “star” players, to providing benefits at a cost of approximately 40% of the salary of the employees. If a business has a salary total of $100,000, the cost of benefits may reach $40,000.
Many individuals believe that health care is their right. It is not a covered issue in the Constitution. It is however, a privilege, just as voting is a privilege. Most employers want to provide and promote that privilege, but I do not believe we should mandate that privilege, especially when it may cost a business their opportunity to succeed.
We can put a man on the moon and do many other wonderful things, so surely we should be able to fix this problem. The bottom line is that businesses know what they can afford (both from a cost standpoint to the HR issue) and it should be left to them to fix their own problem.

LBN: I am sure the Obama campaign will get more and more dirty as Romney continues to rise in the polls again. As gas prices go up, despite the hyped 7.8% unemployment rate, Obama will continue to drop in the polls because he can't prove any of his policies have worked. He can't prove they've worked, because none of them have, yet he thinks he somehow deserves four more years??
According to knowlegable sources, a national magazine and a national web site are preparing a blockbuster donor scandal story.
Sources told Secrets that the Obama campaign has been trying to block the story. But a key source said it plans to publish the story Friday or, more likely, Monday.
According to the sources, a taxpayer watchdog group conducted a nine-month investigation into presidential and congressional fundraising and has uncovered thousands of cases of credit card solicitations and donations to Obama and Capitol Hill, allegedly from unsecure accounts, and many from overseas. That might be a violation of federal election laws.

The countdown to the Venezuelan elections has officially begun. With less than 24 hours to go, the tension in the polarized country is palpable.
In past elections there have been rumors of violence, but they never amounted to much. This time around, with President Hugo Chávez forced to contemplate the possibility of handing over the country to opposition leader Henrique Capriles, some Venezuelan radical groups think that violence is a true possibility.
Threatening graffiti messages have popped up on the streets of Caracas portraying slogans like, "Everything with Chávez, bullets without him," "It's not enough to vote, we have to fight" and "There's a candidate, there's a commander, there's a united people ready for combat."
But this is not all. In an interview with the Spanish newspaper ABC, Alberto "Chino" Carías, the head of the radical paramilitary group known as "Los Tupamaros" said that if the opposition did not recognize Chávez's "sure victory," there would be "bullets."
Los Tupamaros is one of several left-wing militia groups operating in Venezuela. Newspapers like ABC have published reports linking such groups to the Chávez government, but it is not clear whether the Venezuelan president personally backs Los Tupamaros.
Carías, the Tupamaros leader, defines himself as a Marxist-Leninist guerrilla fighter, who maintains contact with Venezuelan terrorist Carlos Ramírez -- also known as "Carlos the Jackal" -- who is now imprisoned in France. Carías has lost count of how many people he's murdered, he told the the Spanish newspaper ABC, because "after ten [murders] you stop feeling remorse." His group, the Tupamaros, are political allies of Colombia's FARC guerrillas.
In the interview, Carías said that the Tupamaros were "prepared and well armed" and that they were ready to attack any opposition group who dared protest the results, assuming the results favor Chávez. If Capriles wins, Carías stated that his group would then be on "active" resistance. "A government led by Capriles will have the people agitated and mobilized. Chávez taught us that," Carías said.
After what many saw as a landslide victory during the first presidential debate last Wednesday, Mitt Romney led President Obama by two percent in a national poll released today, winning support from 49 percent of voters nationwide, compared to Obama’s 47 percent.
Going into the debate, Obama led by two points, according to Rasmussen’s daily presidential tracking poll.
About two-thirds of the polling was conducted after Wednesday night’s debate in Denver.
It was a clear win on Wednesday night and the choice is clear, Romney has the economic wisdom, experience, knowledge and leadership ability we have been lacking the past 3.5years. Obama looks beaten and worn down after Wednesdays huge loss, yet he's still going around campaigning on hyped new unemployment numbers and putting Romney down with personal attacks.
Obama lacks substance, can't debate the facts and criticizes Romney for not going into details on his tax plan, etc, while Obama has no plan but more taxes and more spending. Obama doesn't get the basics of econ 101, that if more people are working, they are paying taxes, therefore no need to raise taxes!! Obama would rather tax, spend and create more regulations which tends to stagnate job growth, which has been happening the past 3.5yrs.
It's time for America to wise up and see what more and more Independents, women voters and Conservatives have seen all along....Obama is not qualified for the job and is unable to lead on domestic and international issues.

LBN: Yet Obama is going around bragging that after 44months of unemployment over 8% is the lowest it's been since he took office, blah blah blah...he needs to get real and so do the American people who are fooled by his rhetoric and lies. The truth is that unemployment is up...there are more underemployed and more people no longer looking for work, and those who are underemployed are working part-time jobs!
