But under the administration’s “Don’t tell Dad” policy, no one bothered to tell Obama or give him even a general briefing before he read about the report in the hated media."
Pretty pathetic policy to have, especially when you are the President of the US. Obama is the Commander in Chief, the CEO of the Nation, so to speak. In any other company or position he would be fired for not knowing what is going on below him. Then to top it off half the people who are below him, also claim the "I know nothing'' defense.
It's time for this stonewalling to end and time for this administration to take responsibility and be held accountable for their lack of leadrship and incompetence. It is complete dereliction of duty for them to claim to know nothing when it is apparent many others knew something before the POTUS about the IRS scandal, the AP and Benghazi scandals.
Those with nothing to hide will tell the truth....it's only those with something to hide who will lie.

A moment of hope and inspiration after one of the worst disasters we've ever seen. Thank God after all the destruction and loss of life, there were moments like this and moments of hope where children were rescued from the Plaza Tower Elementary School and not as many were killed as initially reported. Still it's tragic to know so many have lost everything they own, their homes and belongings, while at least 9 children lost their lives and 15 others perished. Hopefully no others lose their lives and more survivors are still found during the recovery efforts.

An earlier report on Fox News said the roof collapsed in the school at Palm Tower Elementary and while students were seeking shelter in the main hallway as they were told, the roof collapsed, trapping them and waterlines broke which eventually caused them to drown.
Why wasn't there an underground bunker/storm shelter at the school??

Chinese hackers who breached Google’s servers several years ago gained access to a sensitive database with years’ worth of information about U.S. surveillance targets, according to current and former government officials.
The breach appears to have been aimed at unearthing the identities of Chinese intelligence operatives in the United States who may have been under surveillance by American law enforcement agencies.
It’s unclear how much the hackers were able to discover. But former U.S. officials familiar with the breach said the Chinese stood to gain valuable intelligence. The database included information about court orders authorizing surveillance — orders that could have signaled active espionage investigations into Chinese agents who maintained e-mail accounts through Google’s Gmail service.
“Knowing that you were subjects of an investigation allows them to take steps to destroy information, get people out of the country,” said one former official, who, like others interviewed for this article, spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a highly sensitive matter. The official said the Chinese could also have sought to deceive U.S. intelligence officials by conveying false or misleading information.
Although Google disclosed an intrusion by Chinese hackers in 2010, it made no reference to the breach of the database with information on court orders. That breach prompted deep concerns in Washington and led to a heated, months-long dispute between Google and the FBI and Justice Department over whether the FBI could access technical logs and other information about the breach, according to the officials.
Google declined to comment for this article, as did the FBI.
Last month, a senior Microsoft official suggested that Chinese hackers had targeted the company’s servers about the same time that Google’s system was compromised. The official said Microsoft concluded that whoever was behind the breach was seeking to identify accounts that had been tagged for surveillance by U.S. national security and law enforcement agencies.
“What we found was the attackers were actually looking for the accounts that we had lawful wiretap orders on,” David W. Aucsmith, senior director of Microsoft’s Institute for Advanced Technology in Governments, said at a conference near Washington, according to a recording of his remarks.
“If you think about this, this is brilliant counterintelligence,” he said in the address, which was first reported by the online magazine CIO.com. “You have two choices: If you want to find out if your agents, if you will, have been discovered, you can try to break into the FBI to find out that way. Presumably that’s difficult. Or you can break into the people that the courts have served paper on and see if you can find it that way. That’s essentially what we think they were trolling for, at least in our case.”
Microsoft now disputes that its servers had been compromised as part of the cyberespionage campaign that targeted Google and about 20 other companies. Aucsmith, who cited that campaign in his remarks, said in a statement to The Washington Post that his comments were “not meant to cite any specific Microsoft analysis or findings about motive or attacks.”
The U.S. government has been concerned about Chinese hacking since at least the early 2000s, when network intrusions were discovered at U.S. energy labs and defense contractors. The FBI has for years led a national security investigation into Chinese cyberespionage, some of which has been linked to the Chinese military.
The Chinese, according to government, academic and industry analysts, have stolen massive volumes of data from companies in sectors including defense, technology, aerospace, and oil and gas. Gen. Keith B. Alexander, the director of the National Security Agency, has referred to the theft of proprietary data as the “greatest transfer of wealth in history.”
The Chinese emphatically deny that they are engaged in hacking into U.S. computer systems and have said that many intrusions into their own networks emanate from servers in the United States.
“The Chinese government prohibits online criminal offenses of all forms, including cyber attack and cyber espionage, and has done what it can to combat such activities in accordance with Chinese laws,” a Chinese Embassy spokesman, Yuan Gao, said in an e-mail. “We’ve heard all kinds of allegations but have not seen any hard evidence or proof.”
Experts said an elaborate network of interconnected routers and servers can make the Internet tailor-made for the shadowy work of spying and counterspying. It stands to reason, they said, that adversaries would be interested in finding vulnerabilities in the networks of the companies that authorize surveillance on behalf of the government.
“It is an absolute rule of thumb that the best counterintelligence tool isn’t defensive — it’s offensive. It’s penetrating the other service,” said Michael V. Hayden, a former director of the National Security Agency and the CIA, who said he had no knowledge of the incidents. Hacking into a surveillance database, he said, “is a form of that.”
Google’s crisis began in December 2009, when, several former government officials said, the firm discovered that Chinese hackers had penetrated its corporate networks through “spear phishing” — a technique in which an employee was effectively deceived into clicking a bogus link that downloads a malicious program. The hackers had been rooting around insider Google’s servers for at least a year.
Alarmed by the scope and audacity of the breach, the company went public with the news in January 2010, becoming the first U.S. firm to voluntarily disclose an intrusion that originated in China. In a blog post, Google chief legal officer David Drummond said hackers stole the source code that powers Google’s vaunted search engine and also targeted the e-mail accounts of activists critical of China’s human rights abuses.
As Google was responding to the breach, its technicians made another startling discovery: its database with years of information on surveillance orders had been hacked. The database included information on thousands of orders issued by judges around the country to law enforcement agents seeking to monitor suspects’ e-mails.
The most sensitive orders, however, came from a federal court that approves surveillance of foreign targets such as spies, diplomats, suspected terrorists and agents of other governments. Those orders, issued under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, are classified.
Google did not disclose that breach publicly, but soon after detecting it, the company alerted the FBI, former officials said. Bureau officials told FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III, who briefed President Obama.

Is this a real security threat or one that is being exaggerated so that Obama can take control of the Internet? It's hard to trust this admin with security threats when half of them they don't take seriously, such as the intel on the Boston bombers and then they go after law abiding, citizens with the IRS and AP/Fox doing their job and claim it was due to a security breach.
If this is true, which China is known for hacking....I hope it's not used as a way to restrict our Internet freedoms more than they already are. However, under this admin nothing is private anymore....so perhaps rather than restricting our use of the Internet they will just use it as an excuse to spy on citizens more??

As head of the FBI counterterrorism division, Steinbach oversaw the investigationinto the mass murder at Texas Army base.Steinbach made this claim during an unclassified counterterrorism briefing on Capitol Hill.
“Do you guys teach your agents that Fort Hood was workplace violence?” one staffer asked.
“I’m not gonna go there for you,” Steinbach responded.
“I think that’s along the lines of what we’re trying to discern here,” the staffer answered back.
“I appreciate it. I was just at a hearing yesterday and the very same question came up to our executive assistant director to the head (inaudible). No, that’s not the description of it. In that case, we took a very, very hard look at ourselves as well,” Steinbach explained.
He continued, “There was an internal review into the Fort Hood matter and what it was that we did and didn’t do well in that case and I don’t think anyone considers that—I’ve never heard that term used in the FBI or by any official in the FBI and there are some concerns as to whether or not people outside the FBI use that term."
"I’ll leave that to whoever said that to explain their words," Steinbach concluded. "I have not heard it used at the FBI.”
Army Major Nidal Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, is accused of opening fire on November 5, 2009 at the Fort Hood, Texas Army Base, killed 13, including a pregnant woman, and injuring over 30 others. According to Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, a Fort Hood general, Hasan yelled "Allahu Akbar" (Arabic for "God is Great") before he began shooting.
The Department of Defense classified the Fort Hood shooting as “workplace violence.” Such a classification has denied the victims of the attack purple hearts and medical care Americans wounded overseas in combat zones would receive.
According to ABC News, a Pentagon position paper issued on March 29 says that issuing purple hearts to the victims would “irrevocably alter the fundamental character of this time-honored decoration” and “undermine the prosecution of Major Nidal Hasan [the alleged Fort Hood shooter] by materially and directly compromising Major Hasan’s ability to receive a fair trial.”
The Army’s chief of staff at the time of the Fort hood attack, Gen. George Casey, said in November of 2012: “As horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”

At Briarwood Elementary school in Oklahoma City on the border with Moore, cars were thrown through the façade and the roof was torn off. A short distance away, at Plaza Towers Elementary school here rescue workers struggled to tear through rubble amid reports the dozens students remained trapped.
While there was no official confirmation of fatalities, local media citing witnesses said rescue workers had begun to pull bodies from the rubble at various locations.
“Numerous neighborhoods completely leveled,” Sgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department said by telephone. “Neighborhoods just wiped clean.”
Sergeant Knight said debris and damage to roadways along with heavy traffic were was hindering emergency responders, who continue to race to the affected areas.Brooke Cayot, a spokeswoman for the Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, said that as of 5:48 Central Time the hospital had received 33 patients. Of those 10 were listed in critical condition, 10 in serious and 12 in fair or good. Earlier reports said some children may be accounted for at a temporary shelter at St Andrews Methodist Church;they are hoping the number of children dead/missing will go down. Currently the number of fatalities confirmed overall is 51, but that total is expected to rise as the search and recovery continues through the night.
Keep OK in your prayers tonight, especially those parents who lost their beautiful children :( I pray the number of injured/dead goes down and more are found alive and well.

At Briarwood Elementary school in Oklahoma City on the border with Moore, cars were thrown through the façade and the roof was torn off. A short distance away, at Plaza Towers Elementary school here rescue workers struggled to tear through rubble amid reports the dozens students remained trapped.
While there was no official confirmation of fatalities, local media citing witnesses said rescue workers had begun to pull bodies from the rubble at various locations.
“Numerous neighborhoods completely leveled,” Sgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department said by telephone. “Neighborhoods just wiped clean.”
Sergeant Knight said debris and damage to roadways along with heavy traffic were was hindering emergency responders, who continue to race to the affected areas.Brooke Cayot, a spokeswoman for the Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, said that as of 5:48 Central Time the hospital had received 33 patients. Of those 10 were listed in critical condition, 10 in serious and 12 in fair or good. Earlier reports said some children may be accounted for at a temporary shelter at St Andrews Methodist Church;they are hoping the number of children dead/missing will go down. Currently the number of fatalities confirmed overall is 51, but that total is expected to rise as the search and recovery continues through the night.

Chief IRS Counsel Got Jeremiah Wright's Church out of IRS Probe Before Joining Agency ByMatthew Boyle
News reports from the time indicate the now-chief counsel of the IRS, William Wilkins, helped a church connected to President Barack Obama’s friend Rev. Jeremiah Wrightget out of an IRS probe in 2008 while working as a private attorney.
“Lawyers from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have won the dismissal of an IRS case against United Church of Christ, Sen. Barack Obama's denomination,” The American Lawyer’s Zach Lowe wrote on May 22, 2008.
The IRS initiated an investigation early this year after a speech by Obama at a 50th anniversary celebration of the church last June. It was a reference by Obama to his presidential candidacy in a talk otherwise focused on faith that caught the agency's attention. Tax laws prohibit non-profits--including churches--from engaging in political speech or promoting candidates. The IRS can withdraw an organization's tax-free status if the organization is found to violate the rule.Lowe noted that Obama had been a “member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago--a UCC congregation--for more than 20 years. The church has been in the headlines for several months now as the congregation lead by the controversial Reverend Jeremiah Wright.”
William Wilkins, then a WilmerHale law firm partner, said, “We were so interested in the case we offered to do it pro bono."
Lowe wrote that Wilkins and other firm lawyers worked with the church’s national counsel, Donald Clark, and proved they had invited Obama to the event before he announced his candidacy for president. “Evidence presented in a letter sent to the IRS in late March pointed to ground rules the organization had established for Obama's visit; the church even cautioned churchgoers against engaging in any political activity,” Lowe wrote. “Had the IRS pursued the matter, it would have raised serious questions about the First Amendment's application to church activities, Wilkins says.”
When President Obama nominated Wilkins to be the IRS’s chief counsel on April 17, 2009, his White House cited Wilkins’ experience as an attorney on issues relating to tax-exempt status organization. “He has a broad tax practice that includes counseling nonprofit organizations, business entities, and investment funds on tax compliance, business transactions, and government investigations,” according to the White House release announcing Wilkins' nomination.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Wilkins was Staff Director and Chief Counsel of the United States Senate Committee on Finance. Wilkins joined the Democratic staff of the Committee in 1981 and served as tax counsel before becoming Staff Director and Chief Counsel in 1987.
In the release, which included the announcement of a second Treasury Department nominee, President Obama himself said he was "confident in the abilities of these two fine public servants as we work to turn our economy around and give American families the relief they need during these difficult times. Under the leadership of Secretary Geithner, they will work to serve the American people and bring their unique areas of expertise to the job as we work to put America on the path to prosperity."
Upon the resignation of Steven Miller, several news outlets have pointed out that Wilkins will likely become a public target of congressional investigators digging into the scandal surrounding the IRS’s targeting of conservative and Tea Party organizations.
Reuters wrote that GOP lawmakers’ aides said their bosses will soon “focus” on Wilkins as they “seek to determine whether the White House acted improperly.”

So sad and tragic we lost such a great American hero and advocate for our Constitution. Heard today they found their bodies three hours after they were shot....why did it take so long before someone found them?? I also read a headline that said they were shot in his truck and then the suspect took off in it and drove back to his house where he was apprehended. Seems odd to me...hope it wasn't planned out....I'm not big on conspiracy theories but there are some who already think something doesn't sound right.
According to friends Routh suffered PTSD and fled to his sisters house where an automatic handgun was found at his home.
I don't understand the concept of taking someone who suffers from PTSD to a shooting range, especially if they are as fragile/ready to crack as this guy was??

Police say Eddie Ray Routh, the 25-year-old suspect in the murder of Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield, was tasered after becoming aggressive with jailers around dinnertime Sunday.
After eating dinner, Routh refused to return his food tray to jailers. He became aggressive and tried to attack them when they tried to get it back from him, said Erath County Sheriff Tommy Bryant.
Jailers tasered Routh and placed him in a restraining chair in his solitary cell. He is on suicide watch, Bryant said.
Bryant also said there have been death threats made against Routh since news of his alleged actions spread.
Reuters-According to a posting on a website run by members of the Special Operations Forces community, Kyle had been volunteering his time to help Marine Corps veterans suffering from PTSD and mentoring them.
"Part of this process involved taking these veterans to the range," said the posting on SOFREP.com.
WFAA-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth reported that the two men had taken Routh to the shooting range for the day to help him deal with his PTSD.

Reuters-Capt. Jason Upshaw with the Erath County Sheriff's Office said Routh used a semi-automatic handgun, which authorities later found at his home. Upshaw declined to give any more details about the type of gun used.
Routh has not made any comments indicating what his motive may have been, Upshaw said. Sheriff Tommy Bryant said Routh was unemployed and "may have been suffering from some type of mental illness from being in the military himself," but he didn't know if Routh was on any medication.
"I don't know that we'll ever know. He's the only one that knows that," Upshaw said.
The U.S. military confirmed Sunday that Routh was a corporal in the Marines from June 2006 to January 2010. He was deployed to Iraq in 2007 and Haiti in 2010. His current duty status is listed as reserve.
Bryant said the trio went to the shooting range around 3:15 p.m. Saturday. Someone else came across the bodies of Kyle and Littlefield around 5 p.m. and called 911.
Upshaw said autopsies were still pending and he could not say how many times the men were shot or where on their bodies they were hit.
After the shootings, Routh left the shooting range in Kyle's black pickup truck, Bryant said, first going to his sister's home in Midlothian, where he told her and her husband what he had done. The couple called local police.
Routh arrived at his home in Lancaster, about 17 miles southeast of Dallas, at about 8 p.m. Police arrested him after a brief pursuit and took him to the Lancaster Police Department.
Travis Cox, the director of a nonprofit Kyle helped found, told the Associated Press on Sunday that Kyle and Littlefield had taken Routh to the range. Littlefield was Kyle's neighbor and "workout buddy," Cox said.
"What I know is Chris and a gentleman — great guy, I knew him well, Chad Littlefield — took a veteran out shooting who was struggling with PTSD to try to assist him, try to help him, try to, you know, give him a helping hand and he turned the gun on both of them, killing them," Cox said.
A knock on the door at Routh's last known address went unanswered Sunday. A for-sale sign was in front of the small, wood-framed home.
Kyle's nonprofit, FITCO Cares, provides at-home fitness equipment for emotionally and physically wounded veterans.
"Chris was literally the type of guy if you were a veteran and needed help he'd help you," Cox said. "And from my understanding that's what happened here. I don't know how he came in contact with this gentleman, but I do know that it was not through the foundation."
Cox described Littlefield as a gentle, kind-hearted man who often called or emailed him with ideas for events or fundraisers to help veterans.
"It was just two great guys with Chad and Chris trying to help out a veteran in need and making time out of their day to help him. And to give him a hand. And unfortunately this thing happened," Cox said.
Lt. Cmdr. Rorke Denver, who served with Kyle on SEAL Team 3 in Iraq in 2006, called Kyle a champion of the modern battlefield.
"Everybody was aware in 2006 that something special or something unique with his skill set was developing and starting to grow and then it just carried on until he hung up his guns, at least in an active military capacity, and moved on," Denver said. His book, "Damn Few," about training SEALs, will be released this month.
Denver wasn't surprised that Kyle apparently used a shooting range to help someone with PTSD.
"For us, for warriors, that's a skill set that has become very familiar, very comfortable for us," said Denver, a lieutenant commander in a reserve SEAL team. "So I actually see it as kind of a perfect use of Chris' unique skill set and expertise of which he has very few peers."

DallasNews.com Update at 2:18 p.m.: Officials say that Eddie Ray Routh, the suspect in the double murder of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield, fled the crime scene in Kyle’s Ford pickup truck.
At a press conference on Sunday afternoon, Erath County Sheriff Tommy Bryant said that Routh recounted how investigators believe the tragedy unfolded at a gun range. The three men arrived to Rough Creek Lodge and Resort around 3:15 pm. Kyle and Littlefield were found dead around 5 p.m.
Police were contacted by Routh’s sister and brother-in-law after Routh told them what he had done. When they arrived to Routh’s home in Lancaster to arrest him and saw Kyle’s pickup truck at the home, Routh tried to flee in the pickup. The brief pursuit ended in an arrest near Interstate 35 and Camp Wisdom Road around 8:34 p.m.
Routh is currently unemployed, Bryant said. He could not confirm whether Routh was on medication or was diagnosed with PTSD.
Routh’s mother, who is a teacher, may have contacted Kyle to “help her son,” Bryant said at the press conference. “We have an idea that that’s why they were at the range, for some kind of therapy that Mr. Kyle assists people with.”
Routh, 25, was arrested on two counts of murder and one count of capital murder, according to Lonny Haschel, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Routh, a former Marine and Iraqi War veteran, is believed to suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome. Investigators say that he shot Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield at point-blank range around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Routh tried to flee police in his Ford pickup truck, but was arrested near his home in Lancaster after a brief pursuit, Haschel said.
The Stephenville Empire-Tribune is reporting that Routh is being held on a $3 million bond. According to their report, Routh was at the gun range to practice with Kyle and Littlefield when he turned the gun on them.
Officials have identified the second victim of a fatal shooting at Rough Creek Lodge and Resort in Erath County, which killed former Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle.
Chad Littlefield, 35, of Midlothian was identified as the other victim on early Sunday morning. Kyle, 38, and Littlefield were at the gun range on Saturday afternoon for charity event on behalf of Kyle’s Dallas-based security firm Craft International, when they were shot and killed.
Kyle was dedicated to helping veterans, especially those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. He helped found FITCO Cares Foundation, a non-profit organization that provided in-home fitness equipment to veterans with PTSD.
“Our foundation, FITCO Cares, this country and most importantly, his wife Taya and their children, lost a dedicated father and husband, a lifelong patriot and an American hero,” Travis Cox, director of the non-profit, wrote in a statement released on Sunday morning.
“Chris died doing what he filled his heart with passion – serving soldiers struggling with the fight to overcome PTSD,” the statement reads. “His service, life and premature death will never be in vain.”
