This was a great show, I aspire to be like her...well maybe not as accurate but she is admirable. All liberals should see this to educate themselves on guns. I was impressed at the shotgun, that would be my weapon of choice. While the AR-15 looks cool [scary to liberals] I think the shotgun would work as better protection. :) and I don't have to be a sharp shooter.

Semi-automatic weapons are not 'assault weapons'. An assault is when someone uses force on someone against another person physically or with the use of a weapon. The weapon is not doing the assaulting, the person using the weapon is. Some people use their hands/fists to commit assault, others use hammers, knives, bats and other objects.  As a matter of fact, the DOJ statistics report that more people are killed by hammers than guns in the US.

None of these weapons are 'assault weapons' or military grade weapons. Automatic weapons/machine guns are already banned to the average citizen without special privilege,testing and taxes imposed. Our military uses automatic weapons, such as machine guns, which shoot continuously when the trigger is pulled ONE time....a semi-automatic weapon can be an AR-15, a hunting rifle or a handgun, such as those shown in the demonstration video. They each require the shooter to pull the trigger EACH time a bullet is shot. The weapon is not more lethal because it holds more ammo or has a hand/pistol grip, which make it easier to control or other cosmetic features such as the AR-15. What makes a weapon lethal is the user and their intent. If someone is intent on killing someone they will do it regardless of laws, as we already have laws against murder and those who are suicidal and homicidal are even worse because they don't care about punishment or consequences of their action because they intend to be shot and killed by police or they intend to kill themselves, as most of these mass shooters end up doing.

More gun laws will just put restrictions on law abiding citizens who will eventually go beyond the law to protect themselves. They will not comply and more laws will just create more gun owners not registering or getting background checks in fear of having their rights taken away. We have the right to keep and bear arms for our own protection. This right shall not be infringed! What gets me is how ignorant of guns liberals are, because the weapon they want to ban 'looks' scary or was used by a mass shooter, they think it is more lethal than a regular shotgun. What a joke. 

I suggest those who don't understand what an 'assault weapon' is watch this video and get some traning on what these guns can do and can't do. Law abiding citizens don't expect to own tanks, missile launchers, machine guns and other military style weapons, but they do expect and have the right to own weapons, including any semi-automatic regardless how many bullets it holds. Gun experts have proven that a well trained gun user can change a magazine out in only a few seconds, therefore it is futile to claim banning magazines that hold 30 rounds or more than 10 rounds will result in more mass killings. Gun free zones are the real danger because these shooters know they will not be confronted by someone with a weapon therefore they are free to shoot as many people as they want without being retaliated against. 

More security and an end to gun free zones is what is needed for better protection and safety. Not more gun laws that won't be enforced on top of the thousands of gun laws that are already in existence.

Joe Biden headed up the task force on gun violence that supposedly wanted to hear all perspectives before proposing a new raft of laws that would restrict access to weapons, magazines, and ammunition.  According to one participant, one reason that Biden and Barack Obama want new laws is because they don’t have time to enforce the laws already on the books — specifically, the laws relating to background checks that Biden and Obama want expanded:

During the National Rifle Association’s meeting with Vice President Joe Biden and the White House gun violence task force, the vice president said the Obama administration does not have the time to fully enforce existing gun laws.

Jim Baker, the NRA representative present at the meeting, recalled the vice president’s words during an interview with The Daily Caller: “And to your point, Mr. Baker, regarding the lack of prosecutions on lying on Form 4473s, we simply don’t have the time or manpower to prosecute everybody who lies on a form, that checks a wrong box, that answers a question inaccurately.” …

In 2010, prosecutors considered just 22 cases of information falsification, according to a 2012 report to the Department of Justice by the Regional Justice Information Service. Forty additional background-check cases ended up before prosecutors for reasons related to unlawful gun possession.

In all, prosecutors pursued just 44 of those 62 cases. More than 72,600 applications were denied on the basis of a background check. …

Gun prosecutions in 2011 were down 35 percent from the previous administration’s peak in 2004, according to Justice Department data compiled by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University.

Not every failed background check is due to deliberate fraud or deception, of course.  People can make mistakes like “check[ing] a wrong box” without malicious or deceptive intent.  However, I’d guess that the percentage of failures involving deception and fraud is somewhat higher than .086% of all rejected applications.

the Department of Justice didn’t pursue more than 44 prosecutions, which is a worse rate of .0606% of all rejected applications.  If it’s that they don’t have time to check more failures, as Biden insisted, then why on Earth are we demanding a higher volume of background checks?

Daniel Greenfield at Frontpage has a good article that explains the real problem with gun violence. It's not that we need more gun control, but that we need more gang member control and more solid families, rather than social justice programs that keep the poor poor and breed violence in broken homes:

67% of firearm murders took place in the country’s 50 largest metro areas. The 62 cities in those metro areas have a firearm murder rate of 9.7, more than twice the national average. Among teenagers the firearm murder rate is 14.6 or almost three times the national average.

Those are the crowded cities of Obamerica. Those are the places with the most restrictive gun control laws and the highest crime rates. And many of them have been run by Democrats and their political machines for almost as long as they have been broken.

He won New Orleans by 80 to 17 where the murder rate is ten times higher than the national average. He won Detroit, where the murder rate of 53 per 100,000 people is the second highest in the country and twice as high as any country in the world, including the Congo and South Africa. He won it 73 to 26. And then he celebrated his victory in Chicago where the murder rate is three times the statewide average.

These places aren’t America. They’re Obamerica.

In 2006, the 54% of the population living in those 50 metro areas was responsible for 67% of armed killings nationwide. Those are disproportionate numbers especially when you consider that for the people living in most of those cities walking into a store and legally buying a gun is all but impossible.

Mayors of Obamerican cities blame guns because it’s easier than blaming people and now the President of Obamerica has turned to the same shameless tactic. The NRA counters that people kill people, but that’s exactly why Obamerican leaders would rather talk about the guns.

Chicago, the capital of Obamerica, is a city run by gangs and politicians. It has 68,000 gang members, four times the number of police officers. Chicago politicians solicit the support of gang members in their campaigns, accepting laundered contributions from them, hiring their members and tipping them off about upcoming police raids. And their biggest favor to the gang bosses is doing nothing about the epidemic of gang violence.

80% of Chicago’s murders are gang-related. But in 1999 when a bill came up in the Illinois State Senate to charge anyone carrying out a firearm attack on school property as an adult, a law that would have largely affected gang members, the future leader of Obamerica voted present. Had he not voted present, it is doubtful that he would have been reelected in an area where gang leaders wield a great deal of influence.

The majority of murders in the cities with the worst homicide rates are gang-related. And while it isn’t always possible to be certain whether a killing was gang-related, the majority of homicide victims in city after city have been found to have criminal records.

In 2010, there were 11,078 firearm homicides in the United States and over 2,000 known gang-related killings, over 90% of which are carried out with firearms. Since 1981, Los Angeles alone has had 16,000 gang related homicides. That’s more than twice the number of Americans killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This is what Obamerica looks like. It’s a place where life is cheap and illegal guns are as available as illegal drugs. It’s the war that we aren’t talking about, because it’s easier to talk about the inanimate objects being used to fight that war.

America does not need gun control. It is a mostly law-abiding place. And gun control cannot help Obamerica. Not when its murder rate is driven by gangs who have no trouble obtaining anything; whether it’s legal in the United States or not.

This country does not need to have a conversation about how many bullets should go in a clip. It does need to have a conversation about how many parents should go in a family. It needs to talk about the ghettos of Obamerica and have a serious conversation about broken families and generational dependency.

Obama has become a role model to millions of people in the black community. If anyone can address these problems, it’s him. But instead of trying to solve the problems of Obamerica, instead of doing something about the high levels of unemployment, the broken families and the glamorization of drug dealing and violent crime, he wimped out and picked a fight with rural America.

In addition, mental health experts are warning that while anti-gun advocates and politicians seek to restrict our 2nd amendment freedoms, they are creating a greater risk by causing those who need mental health care to avoid seeking therapy or medical treatment they need in fear of being told that if they suffer from Anxiety, Depression, PTSD or some other common mental health disorder they could be considered mentally ill and unstable or dangerous and disqualified from owning a weapon for self-protection. 

"As lawmakers rush to restrict that access in the wake of recent mass shootings, mental health experts warn of unintended consequences: from gun owners avoiding mental health treatment to therapists feeling compelled to report every patient who expresses a violent thought. Some say ordinary patients may wind up suffering the most."

Not every person who seeks mental health counseling or treatment is bound to be a mass shooter or suicidal and homicidal maniac, but if they fear they could be denied their inalienable right to self protection they could avoid seeking treatment, which could put the public in greater risk because then you have more people who need treatment but don't get it and could then become a public threat because they didn't seek treatment. 

Also, those who say gun advocates are just paranoid and nobody needs an AR-15 or a semi-automatic weapon that fires more than 10 shots doesn't understand the fact that police can't be everywhere at one time and by the time they do show up a crime has already been committed. Therefore, we are left to defend and protect ourselves, police are just there to investigate, capture and enforce the law. The Supreme Court has even ruled that police, nor CPS, or any similar government agency is not required to protect us, unless we are in their actual custody.

Therefore, we are left to our own defenses and must provide for our own protection and security. The 2nd amendment was  included in the Constitution for this reason, but also because we have the right as free citizens to protect and defend ourselves against a tyrannical government which could lead to democide, genocide or other inhumane treatment or a dictatorship.

According to statistics, the number of people killed by their own government between 1900-1999= 174,000,000 + 38,000,000 (new for China) + 50,000,000 (new for Colonies) = 262,000,000.

This figure also doesn't include the number of human beings killed by legalized [government sanctioned] abortion in which at least 3,000 are killed daily in the United States alone since Roe V Wade in 1973. Leaving a total of around 55M dead.
