Pixar's 22 Rules of Storytelling - Imgur

Jim Lerman's insight:

Quite a wonderful list. I don't know if these really are Pixar's rules, but I've seen them in several places, so they probably are. These rules sell the movies.

Judith van Praag's curator insight, November 3, 2013 2:45 PM

Does your writing give you a stomach ache? Do you bawl while banging on the keys? Keep on, keeping on. Are you hiding those words wrought with blood sweat and tears? Think again, you've come a long way, you're almost there, dare sticking out your neck.

Some will love you, some will hate you, you can't please everyone.

If you have the guts to write from your heart, do your self a favor, go the extra distance.

Brave your fears of coming out, after braving the pain of creation.

Interesting responces to this question of Good Reads.  I have no guilt about abandoning books I'm not enjoying, but try to give them a fair chance first.  There's too much stuff that you will love out there - why stick with a book that's eating up your precious reading time?

Pitching your ideas to investors is telling a story. You need to get the attention and turn some heads. Hartman's tips are very useful, take a lookk and see what's in it for you. Standing up in front of a panel of investors, or a sitting at a boardroom table with a number of decision makers can be intimidatiing.
