Leonard Nimoy Reads Ray Bradbury Stories From The Martian Chronicles & The Illustrated Man (1975-76) | OpenCulture | Litteris | Scoop.it

Ray Bradbury, author of The Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451, contributed to science fiction a highly distinctive voice; the now departed Leonard Nimoy, Star Trek‘s Mr. Spock, also contributed to science fiction a highly distinctive voice.

In the mid-seventies, a pair of record albums came out that together offered a truly singular listening experience: the voice of Bradbury in the voice of Nimoy.

A técnica do escritor em treze teses

A técnica do escritor em treze teses | Litteris | Scoop.it

Joel Friedlander suggests to pick a fight or rant. In my experience "making mistakes" is likely to attract attention too. Everyone likes to be an editor, and not merely in the writers' world.
I'm going to have the grandfather I never knew tell readers how to. How to what? Whatever. TTYL keep your ear to the ground.

There are several great ideas in this article for more traffic to your blog. Content curation is on the list. No surprise there.

Pick one or two to test and see if your readership picks up. It's worth a try.

4 Reasons to Write Short Stories - The Write Practice

4 Reasons to Write Short Stories - The Write Practice | Litteris | Scoop.it

"For most of my creative writing life, I've tried to write novels. Novels are the pinnacle of fiction writing in the same way oil painting is the pinacle of art. I thought that if I were going to be a writer it meant I didn't have a choice but to write novels. However, in the last six months, my thoughts have changed."

If you're stuck on writing the great American novel, try a short story--or two. It might spark some creativity, and that could possibly lead to actually finishing your book instead of just thinking about it!
