Paula Jamieson's curator insight, May 15, 12:51 AM

It's like being back in the classroom. This afternoon I have discovered this interesting article........after taking a workshop on 'iPads to support Writing' this morning. Typical. There are a couple here I haven't used or explored. I find that articles like this often trigger my thinking back to "I use to use that" or "That's right I downloaded that but didn't have a purpose at the time......".

6 Steps to Add Voice Comments to Google Docs ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

6 Steps to Add Voice Comments to Google Docs ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Literacy Using Web 2.0 | Scoop.it

"With this new application in Google Docs ( Drive ), teachers can now record their audio comments and share them with their students. I see this as a better way to give feedback on students' work and I do believe there are things we can express with our voice that no written code could ever capture like the tone and intonation..etc."

Via John Evans, mrgtechnology
Linda Bonvillain's curator insight, May 20, 12:33 PM

This is AWESOME!!  Teachers will LOVE having the ability to add audio comments.

Becky Roehrs's curator insight, May 20, 1:17 PM

Update/Tip: I tried it out-if you have to change your original document-just copy it and add voice to it-121 Writing doesn't sync with your Google Docs updates.

Instructors are always looking for ways to add audio feedback-I'd much prefer adding voice messages to my student's Google Docs then just text like I have in the past.

Anne Macdonell's curator insight, May 22, 10:43 AM

A huge added bonus for student engagement; also available in our Schoology LMS.
