If you can do it with paper why use a digital alternative? Because for some of students, it makes the difference between engagement and being switched off.  Of couse finding the activities that you just can't do with paper...that's the real power of a digital solution.

According to the Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS), teachers across countries overwhelmingly desire more professional development.

 

• In all TALIS countries, there are low rates of co-operative professional development and collaborative teaching practice.


• Countries could use professional development to effectively and efficiently build and improve professional learning communities in schools.

Love the visual representation of the shifts.  They are, themselves, indicative of a shift.  Wonder if there is a poster or .pdf of this.  would be great to have as a reminder right next to my desk.  5 and 6, in particular, speak to Discovery Education's mission with STEM.
