The Forever Login with WordPress – Word Grrls | Linguagem Virtual | Scoop.it
I don't like logging into my own WordPress sites over and over again. I really don't like being logged out when I've been logged in for hours, or was just logged in a few hours ago, or yesterday. Ideally, WordPress core or JetPack, would refresh the login each time you log in.

Why WordPress-ers And Bloggers Need To YouTube More Often | Elegant Themes Blog

Why WordPress-ers And Bloggers Need To YouTube More Often | Elegant Themes Blog | Linguagem Virtual | Scoop.it

You heard me right.

So that got me thinking, with all these butt-kicking WordPress blogs out there, why aren’t there many WordPress vlogs out there?

I’m not talking about tutorials, which we so often lean towards in the WordPress world when it comes to video (understandably). I’m thinking of real discussions, information and the diverse content our blogs produce, but in video format.

I mean, video covers at least three of the common learning styles: visual, kinesthetic and auditory. Whereas blogs and articles only cover one – reading.

So why don’t we use video very much in the world of WordPress? And more particularly, why aren’t we capturing the audience that is already on YouTube?

15 Best SEO Friendly WordPress Themes for Highly Discoverable Content in 2016

15 Best SEO Friendly WordPress Themes for Highly Discoverable Content in 2016 | Linguagem Virtual | Scoop.it

It can be difficult to tell how well a theme is optimized for SEO as some of the features are sometimes hidden.

Highly optimized SEO is in the details and you can tell by how the code and features are described.
A well-designed theme would have clean code that search engines love. They would be built with SEO best practices which would focus on headings, Google rich snippets for posts and reviews, Google authorship, semantic HTML5 markup, CSS3, be responsive, etc. Some themes even give you some extra tools to help you customize and improve your SEO even further.

With these features in mind I found 15 themes that are SEO friendly and help make your content highly discoverable. A few of these are older themes but they’ve been updated and are great examples of clean code that’s SEO optimized. They’re in no particular order. Let’s take a look.

Using WordPress RSS Feeds | Elegant Themes Blog

Using WordPress RSS Feeds | Elegant Themes Blog | Linguagem Virtual | Scoop.it

RSS is a standard web feed format that was released in 1999. It was quickly adopted by all major publishing platforms.

The word RSS stems from the phrase “Rich Site Summary”, though the term “Really Simple Syndication” has become more synonymous with the standard over the years.

It is not an exaggeration to say that RSS has influenced the evolution of the internet immensely. It completely changed the way that content was distributed to readers. Once RSS was available, content no longer had to be consumed on the website itself. It could now be viewed through applications known as RSS Readers. This allowed the content to be downloaded and read through computers and mobile devices alike.
