Aprendizaje colaborativo en entornos virtuales: un modelo de diseño instruccional para la formación profesional continua | Linguagem Virtual | Scoop.it

Uno de los principales desafíos que enfrenta hoy en día la sociedad del conocimiento se relaciona con la posibilidad de emplear las tecnologías de la información y comunicación (TIC) para promover la construcción colaborativa del conocimiento. De hecho, las primeras incursiones de la computadora en las aulas y en los escenarios de capacitación para el trabajo, modelados en torno a la visión de un participante en la red que actúa en solitario, ajeno a todo tipo de interacción humana y que selecciona y administra por sí mismo contenidos informáticos descontextualizados, han sido cuestionados no sólo por sus escasos logros educativos, sino por su poca relevancia humana y social. Es cierto que la educación a distancia y específicamente la educación en línea, más que una alternativa se ha vuelto una tendencia global de formación, pero al mismo tiempo, en años recientes se propugna por una perspectiva más social y de aprendizaje interdependiente entre los miembros de una comunidad.

An interesting article by Sarah Reese, in which she discusses benefits and drawbacks of the current online education hype, and suggests requirements for the virtual learning environment in modern higher education. Not really evidence-based, but a good argumentation nevertheless.
