This is so on point. I'm tired of Fashion incubators run by folks with no actual experience running the production or tech end of a fashion business. So to them any solution is "Innovative", but will it actually work... Press that laud "innovation" that are not harm a sector. at teh end of it all if teh clothing does not FIT... so we end up with tee shirts as teh major offering of fashiontech companies
fashion is simply the example you can check any sector...

The sad fact that few are willing to point out is that a tremendous amount of resources are being wasted or not getting into the correct hand. I look at two criteria. as a user how well does this address my need, and how close is this company to addresing their core mission.
As mentioned star speakers press etc in the end if the problem is not solved, the market moves on, and if a startup has not figured out its business and revenue model, that company will be gone.
Niche target groups, in Local market globally share a lot of the same challenges, weakness, strengths and what they have access to may vary. I'd suggest connecting with those freelancers you hope to help globally. Get to know their needs. I work with Fashion designer and by extension creatives, essentially cottage sector. I've decided on a slow design approach, which allows me to test solutions as well as adjust as needed, I've found similar problem may require slight variations in solution.

While many worried that with the onslaught of communication tools like e-mail and texting kids would grow up without the ability to connect face-to-face, it turns out that millennials are all about socializing and networking.



Thus you'll find an increasing number of hotels engaging their guests with regularly scheduled events such as happy hours, wine tastings and pool parties.



Taking networking a step further, when it opened last year, New York's TRYP By Windham Times Square South became the first U.S. hotel to partner with a social media app called LobbyFriend, which encourages hotel guests to connect and socialize with one another during their stays.
