Painting a clear picture of your vision and communicating it is THE hardest part of business planning.  If you are not clear, reach out to a coach or mentor.  Let them ask you questions until you have your vision clear and detailed in your mind.

This is not a "free" business model generator, it is a software program built on the "free information" business model.

I looked through this and there is some solid information even if you don't purchase this software.  The 78 page info graphic style explanation does an excellent job of talking about offering "free" and monetizing a portion of your information.

Play around with it and let me know what you think.

As someone that does a lot of business planning this tool looks very interesting. It's simple design output also makes me wonder whether this could be adapted in the market research market, a one page insight delivery might inspire more detailed and focussed work.

Great Leaders Know When to Forgive

Great Leaders Know When to Forgive | Life and Business Leadership | Scoop.it

Leaders must be firm and foster accountability, but they also must know when to forgive past wrongs in the service of building a brighter future. One of the most courageous acts of leadership is to forgo the temptation to take revenge on those on the other side of an issue or those who opposed the leader's rise to power.

Via Kenneth Mikkelsen
Dana K. Dwyer's insight:

Some entrepreneurs become entrepreneurs out of revenge for a precived wrong from an employer.  If revenge is part of your story, how is that emotion serving you now?  Is it time to forgive?

donhornsby's curator insight, February 27, 2013 6:26 AM

(From the article): Anger and blame are unproductive emotions that tie up energy in destroying rather than creating. People who want to save a marriage, for example, must let go of the desire to hurt a partner the way they think the partner has hurt them and instead make a gesture of reconciliation.

Those whose main motivation is to settle scores and get payback — to obstruct rather than construct — are on the wrong side of history. Their legacy is not rebuilding, but rubble. From (ahem) members of Congress to leaders in any turnaround situation, it's a lesson worth remembering: Taking revenge can destroy countries, companies, and relationships. Forgiveness can rebuild them.

Stop Trying to Find Your True Self at Work

Stop Trying to Find Your True Self at Work | Life and Business Leadership | Scoop.it

Self-awareness has become a synonym of conformity, another word for being mindful of what others think of us. Authenticity has become a synonym of consistency, a term understood to mean acting uniformly in different domains. And we have come to regard the true self less like a seed and more like a diamond.

improved quantity and most definitely quality of work produced are often sacrificed by requirements of "seats in butts" for hours, similar to what the new CEO for Yahoo has just declared - in a surprising move. Although she moved from Google, so it's not entirely surprising. Google can be a high-stress environment, tho it is successful, it can churn and burn its employees.
