Gingko App - For collaborative writing

Gingko App - For collaborative writing | Library Technology | Scoop.it
Since Gingko is tree-based, one person can work on the overall organization, while a second is writing the main points of a particular section, and a third is taking those points and fleshing them out in a subsection.

Via Nik Peachey
Mary A. Axford's insight:

This looks interesting - a new possibility for writing academic papers.  Worth exploring.  My two concerns are whether it has sufficient formatting and output options, and the price - 3 trees for free, unlimited access $9 month.  Not huge, but may be more than poor college students can pay along with the many other expenses that go with an education.

Could be a useful resource.  Japanese section would be useful for cultural program and other subjects such as Science could use the Science focus articles.  The "Everyone is a Reporter" aspect could be adapted for real world writing but it would need to be set up and explored for student suitability.
