Some thought provoking ideas here! I share the writer's frustration regarding academic emphasis on the adherance to citation style over understanding the value for supporting assertions with well chosen evidence. However, I don't think the two have to be exclusive. By meeting our College's need for referencing education, we can also include discussion on why it's important use evidence. That's certainly what I try to do in my classes and during individual sessions, and I'm sure everyone else does too. Kristie

Why do traditional paper books remain so popular, especially for deep, immersive reading? Are some people simply too stubborn and nostalgic to adapt to new technologies? Perhaps it's because paper books are themselves a highly sophisticated technology, one that's uniquely good at stimulating focus and concentration.

This is a really useful site that as the name says is a digital repository of things herbal, especially in South East Asia. I did have a link on the LibGuides to Ayurveda treatments, but its too good to miss.
