Use engaging videos on TED-Ed to create customized lessons.

♫▲♪ TED-Ed Videos:TED-Ed's videos aim to capture and amplify the voices of the world's greatest educators. To achieve this, we pair extraordinary educators with talented animators to produce a new library of exceptional educational videos. This website, similar to TED.com, is ever-evolving and we depend on you, the TED community, to nominate inspiring teachers that have touched your life or clever animators who have the skills to bring a gifted teacher's lesson to life.

You can search YouTube for a video to build a lesson around. This video will be the centerpiece of your lesson

You can use, tweak, or completely redo any lesson featured on TED-Ed, or create lessons from scratch based on any video from YouTube.

Select a Vide > Select the video you wish to customize a lesson around > Flip a Video > Create your lesson, by adding your own questions, notes and resources > Enjoy (:

♫▲♪ TED:

TED believes passionately that ideas have the power to change attitudes, lives, and ultimately, the world.

▲▲The "flip this video" button allows you to turn a video into a customized lesson that can be assigned to students or shared more widely. You can add context, questions and follow-up suggestions.

♫▲♪ TED-Ed:

TED-Ed’s commitment to creating lessons worth sharing is an extension of TED’s mission of spreading great ideas.

Within the growing TED-Ed video library, you will find carefully curated educational videos, many of which represent collaborations between talented educators and animators nominated through the TED-Ed platform.

♫▲♪ Get Involved:

The most meaningful TED-Ed videos are collaborations between the TED-Ed team and at least one of the following: a curious learner, an exceptional educator, or a talented visualization artist.

If you are one of these types of people, or if you know someone who is, please help guide our effort to create a library of lessons worth sharing by acting on one of the options below:

♫▲♪ Nominate an Educator..

♫▲♪ Recommend an Animator...

♫▲♪  Submit a Lesson...

♫▲♪ General Feedback...

10,000 Teachers Collaborate on Common Core-Alignment Project

10,000 Teachers Collaborate on Common Core-Alignment Project | library lesson ideas | Scoop.it

Tom Vander Ark

None of those old basal textbooks are aligned to the Common Core State Standards, but they all include great content. What to do? About 10,000 teachers on Edmodo have turned to the The Basal Alignment Project, an online library of revised replacement lessons from common basal reading series (3rd-5th grades) each carefully aligned to the Common Core State Standards (Edmodo Group code: etuyrm).
