This new F-35 fighter jet is the most expensive aircraft in history, but for good reason.  It's newest feature incorporates a take of method that mimics the take off of a hover craft, or space ship.  This air craft only needs a few feet of space before beginning its vertical accent into the sky.  This new method will allow for the F-35 to take off from more remote places that do not have long strips of land for take off, such as a smaller military ship.
