Fear hold us back from so many things. Fear of failing, fear of rejection, fear of beginning a new career without knowing is success lies ahead, or if failure is certain. I've experienced this fear and let it hold me back many times in life, I admit. I did what was "safe", and what everyone close to me "expected" me to do...Not necessarily what I wanted to do. 

 

Facing that fear and overcoming it has been a process. Leaving teaching after 13 years and beginning a freelance writing career was very scary, and it's been a roller coaster. Some months are great and others are very slow. That fear creeps back in, and I continually have to face it.

 

Jim Carey's speech really struck me, and it reassured me that the growth I've experienced on my personal journey has been worth the ups and downs, the stress, and the obstacles continually ahead. It's my hope that others will step out of their safety zones also, and really live...Do what you love and give it your all. It's an amazing journey!

This is an outstanding description of the complete picture of marketing in 2014. It's great to know that the cornerstone of all marketing is great content that reaches consumers and shows your expertise in your industry.

 

Content writers have a lot to know and understand. We have to understand the SEO, keyword strategy, learn about industries, keep up with the latest Google parameters, and on and on...

 

I personally feel that writing alone for clients is sometimes all I have time for, even though clients sometimes want me to run their social media platforms as well (which I have done, and it's just too much...). I discovered, though, that writing is my niche, and pairing up with a social media strategist, working together for clients is a great thing. 

 

Consider hiring a writer, or writers, along with a social media marketer...It's definitely a winning combination for any small business. Need to find a pair that can get your business bumping and grooving?
