Over the weekend, I spoke with my friend Grechen, who created Kodable. She shared,
"With Kodable Sync you’ll be able to create student profiles that sync student progress on any iPad and then see how far they’ve gotten in the game. Teachers will be able to see how many times students attempted a level, how well they did, what concepts they’re mastering, etc. "

Using Reading Street's leveled readers, iFiles, and the Explain Everything app, students practiced pacing, self-correction, using context clues, decoding skills, and reading with expression."
"As a working parent, sometimes it is difficult to sign up for volunteer dates. So, when I have the chance to see what's happening inside the class or on field trips, I treasure those moments. "Publishing student video that is created with iPads can be a challenging process, especially with younger students. Even schools that are Google Apps typically decide to turn off YouTube uploads to the student accounts. However, with the use of a handful of free applications, students can create video content on iPad, share their creation with a teacher, and then have the teacher upload to their YouTube channel or a class YouTube channel. "
"Augmented Reality allows you to expand the experience of the real world with information, video, sound, GPS data, and so on. If well utilized, it can be much more than just another cool tech thing… You will see below an example of how Augmented Reality was used to expand the experience of visitors to our school’s Art Exhibit. As students had to reflect on and verbalize their artistic choices, an augmented reality layer was created for viewers of the exhibit. In the process, students were excited about sharing with an authentic audience and had to really recall and reflect. It created a hyperlinked reality that enabled amplification of the viewers’ learning experience that was much more engaging than text."
