I just introduced the idea ofg backchannels at school as an idea for student feedback and /or discussion. I am interested more in the formative and alternative assessment option, but the ideas about continueing the conversation is pretty cool too! Great thing is you don't need email necessarily to invite students either. Delete the scoop?

OK. I agree with the concepts. What I wonder about is will the political mandarins and their bureaucratic minions allow civil disobedience? Innovation and real change occur on the fringes and not in the mainstream. Delete the scoop?

Being a 21st Century educator is creating a learning environment that is social, collaborative and project based. Teachers, nor anyone else for that matter, will ever be able to keep up with all new technologies. The trick is to focus on digital technologies that facilitate student collaboration.

There are a few important criteria that education technology must satisfy before being used in education. Otherwise, we have a problem.
It is about the Why versus the with what.
"Almost like a demigod, the education industry seeks the golden bullet that will solve the problem of providing an engaging personalized learning experience for every child and we assume it will have a USB port." With failed leadership do not expect this to change. I do like the first point: Make the teacher's life easier.
