"SAMR is a great framework for thinking about technology and how it can best be used in a teaching environment to bring about transformational learning opportunities that wouldn't have been possible without the technology." If SAMR is new to you the letters stand for: Augmentation Modification Redefinition This visual from Mark Anderson does a great job providing an overview of SAMR as well as transformative level activities. "Almost like a demigod, the education industry seeks the golden bullet that will solve the problem of providing an engaging personalized learning experience for every child and we assume it will have a USB port." With failed leadership do not expect this to change. I do like the first point: Make the teacher's life easier. Delete the scoop?

There are six possible outcomes: * Negative Score: Clean up time * 11 - 15 points: You’re Making Strides More details are available for each description. Delete the scoop?

"It is likely that schools will have to regularly update their IT programme of study so that they can keep up with the rapid advances of technology. This is particularly prevalent with the increasing use of online research and educational software being used as teaching and learning aids through the use of mobile devices"

This is an interesting option to use that will allow more of a "facebook" type assignment for students while being able to use a variety of tools to limit what can be done, all while keeping it pretty much " in house" Delete the scoop?

An important point to remember when we are considering using technology in the classroom. The integration of technology can be a help in the classroom while simply using technology can become a hinderance. So where do we make that distinction? Delete the scoop?
