Psychology researchers from the University of Missouri at Columbia havepublished a study in Addiction Research & Theory attempting to bring the conventional wisdom that there are many distinct ways to be drunk to its logical, scientifically-based conclusion. Their study, which involved 374 undergraduates at a large Midwestern university, drew from literature and pop culture in order to conclude that there are four types of drinkers: the Mary Poppins, the Ernest Hemingway, the Nutty Professor and the Mr. Hyde.

Army Rangers Vs. Marines

Army Rangers and Marines are similar positions in the U.S. military, with both requiring an ability to respond to variable special operations missions. These positions are elite fighting forces, and eligibility is limited to those able to endure rigorous, long-term training. However, the two positions differ with regard to training, structure and requisite ability. In addition, the Marines encompass their own branch of the military while Army Rangers are an elite subset of the Army branch.

The United States Army Rangers is an elite group of warriors, sent into unusual environments to handle special operations duties. Rangers operate in jungle, desert and mountain environments, often tasked with more difficult specialized missions than those assigned to conventional Army troops. The pros and cons of Ranger life include family stresses and the toughness of the Ranger program. Rangers however are essential to Army operations, with a strong heritage and roots dating back to the Revolutionary War.
