LEARNing To LEARN, the PracTICE | With ALL that mass of information which WE get on each day in OUR technology driven Digital World, with the messages from Social Media through OUR  PLN (Personal [Professional] Learning Network), there is a MUST to organize OUR LEARNing! WE MUST unlearn the OLD and learn to learn differently as that was the case twenty years ago!

Des principes qui éclairent le processus de la motivation chez les apprenants adultes, avec une application concrète par rapport à la formation aux TIC

Raquel Oliveira's curator insight, January 26, 2014 7:38 PM

Nunca é demais relembrar os 4 principios da aprendizagem de adultos , segundo a teoria de Malcom Knowles;

Amazing

Alfredo Corell's curator insight, January 6, 2014 6:01 PM

Teachers can start using Hangouts simply by setting up a Google+ page and signing up for the Hangout feature. They can conduct virtual classrooms at a number of places; it allows a teacher to teach up to 10 classrooms at the same time. It makes classes interactive and students can ask questions whenever they want. They can use it to connect their classroom with other classrooms or to connect their students with experts across the world, providing them with connected learning experiences. There are many ways in which teachers and students can derive benefits from using Hangouts in the classroom.

83% Of Mobile Apps Are Risky | Learning, Learning Technologies & Infographics - Interest Piques | Scoop.it
Summer 2013 App Reputation Report to examine the hidden behaviors behind free and paid mobile apps

The cloud-based, fully automated Appthority App Risk Management Service performed static, dynamic and behavioral app analysis on the 400 most popular free and paid apps on the iOS and Android platforms.

Appthority analyzed each app for particular behaviors within a test environment

.

Highlights from the App Reputation Report are:

- Overall, 83% of the most popular apps are associated with security risks and privacy issues.

- iOS apps exhibited more risky behaviors than Android apps. 91% of iOS apps exhibit at least one risky behavior, as compared to 80% of Android apps.

- 95% of the top free apps and 77.5% of the top paid apps exhibited at least one risky behavior.

- 72% of the top free apps track for the user's location, compared to 41% of paid apps.

- Although paid apps already generate revenue when downloaded, 59% of paid iOS and 24% of paid Android apps still support in-app purchasing.

- Furthermore, 39% of paid iOS and 16% of paid Android apps still share data with ad networks.

8 Reasons Why you should Create A Blog for your Class

8 Reasons Why you should Create A Blog for your Class | Learning, Learning Technologies & Infographics - Interest Piques | Scoop.it

Why would I start educational blogging with my students ? what is its benefits on their overall learning ? These are two legitimate questions you need to ponder on before embarking on a blogging journey with your class. In fact asking critical questions should not only be limited to your tech practices with your students but should cover all your teaching practice. Through questions we discover our weak points to work on and through inquiry we unearth new inspiring fountains of knowledge.

To answer the two questions posed above, I am sharing with you what Morris ( grade four teacher ) has learned from using educational blogging with her students. Morris was like everyone of us, hesitant and not sure how to start blogging with her class but now that she spent several years blogging she discovered that blogging brings several educational benefits and here are some of them : read more in the article...

How To Find Openly Licensed Educational Resources You Can Use [Infographic] | Learning, Learning Technologies & Infographics - Interest Piques | Scoop.it
Most of us turn to the internet when we are looking for resources to use for a presentation, report or article. The internet holds the key to so many robust resources.

Yet how many of these resources can you legally use for free? How many of them can you adapt?

That’s where Open Educational Resources (OER) can help. Here’s an infographic from the Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (at the University of Texas at Austin) that can help.

Martin Stevens's curator insight, July 22, 2013 7:54 AM

Great presentation of a vital concept. Two observations:

1. "We are born creative". Watch young children when given the tools (paper, crayons, scissors, glue, toilet rolls etc) and how creative they are. Too few kids leave school with that creativity intact.

2. In the UK, designers of all sorts are being encouraged to get into schools to explain, excite and motivate. Getting individuals and firms involved is a vital step in encouraging and fostering creativity.
