English verb form generator | Grammaring | Learning technologies for EFL | Scoop.it
Shona Whyte's insight:

This looks neat, but I'm struggling to see an application for language learners - maybe to check written work?  The generator gives the names of English tense/aspect combinations and one decontextualised example for each.  Maybe the link to more information about each verb form will be more helpful.

Phrasal verb games – Macmillan Dictionary

Phrasal verb games – Macmillan Dictionary | Learning technologies for EFL | Scoop.it
Our interactive language games are intended to improve language skills and help English language learners.

Choose a phrasal verb synonym or antonym from three options for each (non-phrasal) verb.

Shona Whyte's insight:

This is a decent game.  No context, so you have to juggle possible interpretations quickly, and the synonym/antonym variation keeps you on your toes.

Intermediate learners and above given the lack of context - if you don't know, you can't really figure it out.

Immediate feedback on your answer, a time constraint, and a total score at the end, which you can share on Twitter or Facebook.

Our interactive language games are intended to improve language skills and help English language learners.

Choose the best of four prepositions to make the correct phrasal verb.

Shona Whyte's insight:

This is probably the best of the four games I have just posted - there is a full sentence to give context, and learners choose the correct particle to complete the sentence.

The game factors should help maintain motivation, so the only question that remains is retention - can/will learners remember any corrections?  Or is the reinforcement provided for the expressions they already know enough?
