In A New Culture of Learning: Cultivating the Imagination for a World of Constant Change Douglas Thomas and John Seely Brown write, “Embracing Change means looking forward to what will come next. It means viewing the future as a set of new possibilities, rather than something that forces us to adjust. It means making the most of living in a world of motion” (43). The changing landscape of education in the digital age asks us to reconsider what, how, and where we learn. On May 3, Hybrid Pedagogy will host a #digped discussion about peer-to-peer learning and how we can shift from thinking about educational institutions toward thinking about learning collectives. The following is drawn from Chapter 4 of Thomas and Brown’s book. While our Twitter discussion will center around this section, we also encourage you to read the first three chapters in PDF format, buy the entire book, and explore other resources the authors have made available online.

How To Use Pinterest With Bloom's Taxonomy - Edudemic

How To Use Pinterest With Bloom's Taxonomy - Edudemic | Learning Technologies | Scoop.it
It's actually quite easy to figure out how to use popular social bookmarking service Pinterest with Bloom's Taxonomy. That is, after you see this guide!

We’re big fans of both Pinterest and Bloom’s Taxonomy. So you can imagine our excitement when we saw this handy (and printable! Click here for the PDF!) guide designed to inform you how to use Pinterest with Bloom’s Taxonomy. It showcases a couple dozen (25) ways to integrate Bloom’s with Pinning. From building a resource board to defining vocabulary on a board with captions and images, there’s a lot of work to be done thanks to this graphic.

Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge - Mark Anderson's Blog

Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge - Mark Anderson's Blog | Learning Technologies | Scoop.it

"In my work, I’ve been trying to apply these three things in order to bring about use of technology in lessons that doesn’t dictate that technology is at the heart of everything we do but there as something which will enhance the PCK (Pedagogical Content Knowledge) based learning that is happening. The TPACK model has certainly been giving me plenty of food for thought. I’ve been looking at it and pondering it for some time. Part of my methodology for thinking behind how it might fit in a classroom was to re-create the classic TPACK Venn model so that I could make sense of it in my own head. Reproduced below with kind permission of the publisher, © 2012 by tpack.org with the addition of the 7 different elements of TPACK is my version:"Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge model - ideas, framework and practical applications."

The twenty-first century is a world in constant change.  In A New Culture of Learning, Doug Thomas and John Seely Brown pursue an understanding of how the forces of change, and emerging waves of interest associated with these forces, inspire and invite us to imagine a future of learning that is as powerful as it is optimistic.
