What have I learned from Moodle and Mahara? | Learning online | Scoop.it
I am currently working on a project (http://www.transit-project.eu/) the objective of which is to help secondary education teachers in developing the competencies they need to support the acquisition of key competencies of their pupils as defined by the Key Competences for Lifelong Learning Framework published by the European Commission. Some critical insights but wondering about the purpose of ePortfolio from this persons perspective.  Students I had that chose to do ePortfolio using Mahara all stated how easy it was and how much fun it was to build it and share with friends.  Maybe it is the choice aspect and idea of recursively developing oneself as a teacher.

5 iPad apps for the Productive 21st Century Student | iPad Insight

5 iPad apps for the Productive 21st Century Student | iPad Insight | Learning online | Scoop.it
"When I was at school, I struggled badly with random, un-filed bits of paper, leaky ink cartridges in my Parker Pen and terrible hand writing (as well as chronic laziness and an addiction to Cricket). I’m sure this approach to my organisation affected my school work. If I would have grown up in the iPad age I think things would have been different. The following 5 apps have been tried and tested by me and my students and rank highly as apps which work brilliantly to keep work organised in the cut and thrust of a busy school day."
