This is so very true. There is a fast food taco chain restaurant in North Platte, Nebraska. The food is great and it sparks warm feeling in my Nebraska bred wife. But the bathroom is so filthy I can't bring myself to ever go there again. In fact, the tables are sticky, the floor is gross, and just about everything gives off an aura of filth.
