It is amazing to see how the economy has not only affected the employment rates but also the management/leadership's attitudes towards their employees. The sad trends highlighted in this article have become common in today's organizations for the past 5 years. But leaders and managers, beware that these attitudes are short-sighted and going to become your own trap once the economy swings up again... Delete the scoop?

... . I know there are some who are afraid of the slippery slope - and I understand that. But if you think about it, we don't let 12 yo kids drive cars, we don't let 18 yo kids drink, and we don't allow blind people to drive. There are plenty of other good arguments for limiting certain activities to certain groups of people.
