A program that will make multimedia presentations if you add your images, text, music, voice, special effects to the video timeline.

Basic account (30 sec video) is free.

Allan Tsuda's curator insight, June 9, 2014 10:00 PM

Took less than 30 minutes to sign up, create a movie, and publish it to YouTube. A good prep before introducing iMovie to younger grades. Very simple to use. Perfect for Google Apps for Education.

The most interesting and innovative part of Swivl service is the robot that helps you record your activities with the audience , e.g. your students, on your iPad. You may also use the cloud services by uploading your videos and viewing them in the usual way.

The basic account and iPad app are free.

Teaching Kids about Global Poverty

Teaching Kids about Global Poverty | Learning Commons | Scoop.it

"Living on One Dollar is a full-length documentary made by four college students who traveled to rural Guatemala to live on just a dollar a day. Upon their return, they created Living On One, a nonprofit to raise awareness and inspire action around global issues like hunger and poverty -- and started by publishing the Change Series of video shorts. I found it so compelling I've dedicated this whole film fest to it. Each episode not only succinctly frames an issue faced by people in the developing world and makes it personal, but also offers resource links to learn more -- and even better -- to do something about it."
