Nykyään monet käyttävät Facebookkia vapaa-ajan lisäksi työasioidensakin hoitamiseen. Vaikka Facebookin työkäyttöön liittyy monia haasteita (käyttöehdot, mainokset, yksityiselämän ja työidentiteetin sekoittuminen…) moni käyttää sitä silti mielummin kuin työpaikan tarjoamia viestintävälineitä. Ehkä siksi 2013 yhä useampaa yritystä ja organisaatiota kiinnostaa tuoda sosiaalinen media mukaan sen sisäiseen yhteistyöhön.
