Create simple green screen movies with this App for ipad and iphone £1.49 cost. Also available for Android device too.
Used this lots - an excellent grading tool. Create a series of questions/quizzes using Google Forms then download the script which will turn the form into a self marking activity. You can create a range of different closed questions: multiple choice, Yes/No, Short answer questions. Records scores, averages, high/low scores and can also email students their results. Very easy and simple to do.
Record directly onto the page and have the sound file saved. You get 30s of recording time. The sound file can be embedded, shared or linked to. Very similar to Vocaroo
I tell you what, this is not bad at all! Create "lessons" (in a linear way) on the canvas by dragging and drawing. Choose from a range of tools eg text boxes, simple quizzes, youtube videos, downloadable content, weblinks, Google docs etc. You can even assign to a class. Post out link and students can do tasks. You can monitor how long was spent on each activity and results of quizzes etc. Nice feature that students can comment on each activity too. Free tool but costs if you wish to set up as a school. Lots of Flipped learning potential too!
Nice simple online Word processer. No login required. You can add in YouTube videos. Options to share file too.
An awesome range of different Web2 tools grouped under very useful headings eg Research, Collaborating, Presentation etc Made as a wiki and updated regularly. The layout and presentation are highly effective. Brilliant stuff!
Clue is a tool that creates super fast memory tests on screenshots of webpages, then lets you see the results. It's perfect for capturing that all important first-impression of a website

Super Teacher Tools has many free classroom review games and classroom management tools, including Flash Jeopardy.
This is the ONLY product I know that generates labels/statements or allows students to generate labels/statements which you can then move around on a rectangular grid/table. Dragster 2 is completely free once you set up a login account. Resulting activity is flash based and you download 3 files. SHould be very easy to upload to your school Moodle.
Convert blogs and anything with an RSS feed to mp3 recordings that can be downloaded. Works pretty well with WordPress although there is only one voice it reads it in (Male/US). Would work really well if teachers are sharing resources on blog with students eg revision material, homework etc. With a Moodle VLE - this could work quite nicely?

Not completely sure this belongs here but 8 good tools nonetheless if you own an ipad!
This is such a clever idea using a flash template. Simple multiple choice games but add in the bonus of gambling. Would work really well as a revision task or plenary. Wonder if you could embed this in Moodle?
OK its not really a Web2 tool but its the one I first started using outside of Office and still very effective. Free software to download. has a range of quiz types: Fill in the blanks Multiple choice/multiple select Matching/ordering exercise Crossword task (my favourite) Has some really good admin features too in terms of setting timings, scores etc. Also has the benefit of linking to Moodle. Adding images is a bit of fankle and best done using the picture URL link.
PowToon is a brand new presentation tool that allows you to create animated presentations and cartoon style videos just by dragging and dropping. You need to create an account first but wow - first impressions are very good indeed. Great animated features including text and cartoon images. Add your own images. Simple timeline to see where features start and finish. Easy to add in audio track. Range of impressive templates and styles eg TV Advert, presentation, video, infographic video and social clip Free account gives you 30 presentations. Upload to YouTube or download as video (not sure what file type). Embed code promised but not actually working (frustrating!)
Padlet is the new name for Wallwisher... Now probably the best collaborative "pad" on the Web. Upload images from your PC/notebooks
How to take a fairly traditional vocabulary list and in a few easy and relatively pain free steps, make it into a more exciting and engaging learning tool (with the help of Excel, Quizlet and a Moodle Glossary) Surely this can be done in any subject?
