More hype has been piled on Generation Y, or better known as Millennials. We are building layers to insulate rather than removing layers to engage. This needs to be our call-to-action. Millennials, Gen X, Boomers, and Silent Generation alike but between two generations. We need to cross the gap and lead anew!

Self-care is the basis for our well-being. And when stress strikes, we especially need to attend to our emotional, physical and spiritual needs and practice nourishing, healthy habits. But, for many of us, that’s exactly when our self-care dips.
For many curious folks, their impassioned yearning to soak up as much of the world’s wonders as possible completely transcends the boundaries of a traditional classroom. Armed with an insatiable lust for knowledge, they set out to acquire it on their own terms, although a few pointers obviously can’t hurt before departure and landing!

As a Millennial leader, the arena is yours, the good stuff and the challenging stuff. What you do while in it is up to you. You can let the critics distract you or you can lead with the purpose instilled within you. You can embrace the characteristics seemingly given to you or you can reach out to other generations and engage in meaningful conversations.
