One of the newest hit-makers in the mobile-game industry once again hails from Finland, but Supercell is making money with cows and dragons instead of Angry Birds.
Supercell Oy says it is profitable and grossing more than $500,000 a day in revenue from its two games, the medieval-strategy title "Clash of Clans" and the farming app "Hay Day." Amid the success, the two-year-old startup in November moved its 80 employees into a massive office complex abandoned by struggling phone maker Nokia Corp. a sign of the times in Helsinki. The city's buzzing startup scene has hatched numerous big-game developers in recent years, including "Angry Birds" maker Rovio Entertainment Ltd. Via Ulla M. Saikku
