What do you do with the first hour of your workday to increase productivity and reduce stress?

buket's curator insight, January 4, 10:32 AM

"If you do the worst thing on your plate first thing in the morning, the rest of the day is a cake walk." ( Brian Tracy, Eat that Frog) I keep a daily to-do list and outline the tasks of the day. If I think on paper, I can motivate myself better. Then, I keep reviewing my list :) Time management is another important  factor for me. I try to keep my list manageable, so it doesn't have to be very long. If I have enough time, a 45- minute morning walk  can make a great difference at the beginning of my day.

The Problem with Executive Isolation

The Problem with Executive Isolation | Leadership and Development | Scoop.it
The executive entourage may have its uses, but can keep leaders out of the loop.
Anna Conrad's insight:

Before implementing the suggestions, make sure you have a safe, nonthreatening culture.  No one will speak up to a leader who leads through fear and intimidation, and trying will do more harm than good (as will silence when the CEO tries to engage in honest dialogue).  An honest 360 as well as a cultural assessment can help determine if the timing is right and if the culture and CEO are ready.
