Here are some key references in Leadership Development that you may find useful.  Some emphasize what I would label as the new 70/20/10 model to optimize performance: it is the combination of challenging experiences, nurturing relationships and time for reflection that contribute to really unlocking potential and talent.  What does this mean for managers?  The need to ensure that any job is founded on such a combination to allow people to sustain performance and get out of their comfort zone to grow and transform.
