Ron Moore was very active in the civil righhts movement. As a child him and his frirends were arrested for trying to go into a "whites only" park. Moore later commented that at the time he didn't realize how serious segregation was back then. As he got older he found himself participating in marches protesting segregation and found himself in prison on many occassions.
