Global demographics are shifting, and seniors are being supported by dwindling numbers of young people, posing a real challenge to society. Aging, and the illnesses that often accompany our later years, will demand resources to the point where existing social structures will be tested to a breaking point.
Resolving this challenge positively and humanely will require a wide range of adaptations: societal, familial, technical and financial.
