SLAVE to ANCESTORS leather sunglasses 100% made in Le Marche

SLAVE to ANCESTORS leather sunglasses 100% made in Le Marche | Le Marche & Fashion | Scoop.it

The sunglasses in leather "SLAVE TO ANCESTORS" are born from the inspiration of two shoe designers, Elia Olivieri e Daniele Marconetti, from Montegranaro. A piece of leather remedied by an old sole and lenses of an old pair of sunglasses, these simple materials, largely available in the most important shoe district of Italy, sets off the challenge: to transform that idea into a unique product that encompasses individuality and uniqueness through a sophisticated design, free from fashion trends. Produced with craftsmanship and certified quality materials, "SLAVE TO ANCESTORS" is 100% made in Italy and Made in Le Marche.

Fausto Ripani, the handmade shoes and the Norway Stitching

Fausto Ripani, the handmade shoes and the Norway Stitching | Le Marche & Fashion | Scoop.it

The company was founded in 1978 by Fausto Ripani in Montegranaro, a man with a long and strong experience started at the age of 14 years in the old cobblers' shops, in the heart of Shoe's District of Fermo.
The idea was to create a shoe made by hand from beginning to end, using the best materials in terms of leather and accessories, in order to obtain a product of highest quality and meticulous attention to detail. Among the Fausto Ripani most complicated creations there is Norway stitching.
Three types of stitching are needed before this very sophisticated creation is accomplished.
It is the artisan himself who decides on the backstitch line on the outer part of the shoe as well as on the distance from one stitch to the other by tying up all the parts the shoe is made of.
The first stitching binds the upper onto the leather sole, whereas the second stitching -again- ties the upper after the latter has been turned inside out, to the central sole. It is clear then that during this phase the trim, which goes around the entire shoe and the sole, is not the welt but a true central leather sole, known as “intersole”.
Now, the final 5-mm leather sole is stitched onto the intersole thus making a through tied-up frame.
The premium entirely natural materials that is used guarantee an exclusive shoe comfort. With its impressive and intricate stitches, the fascinating Norway stitching is an example of real artisan masterpiece for those who love to wear strong shoes of artistic design.

Alberto Guardiani Backstage SS 2012 AD Campaign

The warm lights of Sicily, and a mood that enhances the beauty of Art Nouveau places in Palermo: the new ad campaign for Alberto Guardiani has been shot precisely in Sicily’s chief city.
The designer, with the help of photographer Serge Guerand, illustrates his collections – the first menswear and womenswear lines - for Spring/Summer.

The images capture the intensity of tradition, revisited with a new twist, focusing on the future: in the lead role a refined couple, who likes to be stylish without affectation: she, model Clara Mas, is wearing sandals featuring warm hues and contrasting optical patterns; he, Tanel Derard, chooses soft loafers made with vintage hides - moving cheerily against the backdrop of a late 19th century garden caressed by soft and evanescent lights.

Guya Guardiani, the daughter of the label’s founder, acted as creative director for the ad campaign, and worked with stylist Emanuela Fontana. The hair and the makeup were designed by Pierpaolo Lay and David Allan Jones respectively.

After the Shoe with Franceschetti Shoes Montegranaro

After the Shoe with Franceschetti Shoes Montegranaro | Le Marche & Fashion | Scoop.it

“Being passionate about shoes does not mean you just buy them“
The real Lover isn't found in the way he chooses his shoes. but in the way he looks after them.
It's important to change your shoes everyday. Even the best manufacturers are unable to avoid the premature wearing out of the shoes if appropriate time for drying isn't allowed. The leather becomes limp, loses abrasion resistance and consistency.
Shoe care entails applying essential products (creams and polish) and individual methods.
When properly looked after, the shoe can look gorgeous. When mistreated and neglected, it may lose its own lustre in a few months.
"After the shoe" is a set of simple but helpful guidelines on how to take care of shoes.
The shootrees: this is a tool which helps the shoe maintain its original axis hence putting the leather in the best condition to dry evenly...
Tho polish: the real quality polish is beeswax. Its aim is to soften, make waterproof and burnish the leather...
Tho shoe cream: customers get often confused with shoe cream and shoe polish and for this reason they substitute one for the other absent-mindedly. Shoe cream, actually, has a very specific purpose as it works like a detergent...
The conditioner: it is very similar to the cream. with a plus: it contains mink oil...
The soap: because of its content of glycerin, the colours may fade if it is too frequently used. Soaps such as balms or ointments should only be applied to certain footwear: football shoes, mountain boots,...
Conditioning: to dry the soles,it is recommended not to leave the shoes on the floor as they would not be able to breathe. Place them in supine position. Never put damp shoes under unnatural sources of heat...
