MILAN -- Amid an era of great corporate and creative change for the Jil Sander Group, the company said Tuesday that it tapped former Vionnet designer Rodolfo Paglialunga as the brand's new creative director.
Paglialunga, known for infusing the romantic French label Vionnet with his own modern twist, got his start at Romeo Gigli in the early 1990's.
A native of Italy's central Le Marche region, Paglialunga was hired by Prada in 1996 where he rose to become the womenswear design director. In 2009, he was tapped by Matteo Marzotto and Gianni Castiglioni to spearhead Vionnet, which is remembered historically for couturier Madeleine Vionnet's 1920's grecian gowns. [...]
