It’s a collection inspired by the navy style, always in vogue, elegant and sporty at the same time. Two models belong to this line: a derby and a moccasin with fringe. Both are in suede in different colors; the distinguishing feature of SS14 is the interior, according to the dictates of fashion these shoes are lined with soft leather with floral or geometric prints that evoke exotic paradises.

The Beatles boots become famous thanks to the Fab Four, but for sure, it hasn’t been designed for them. Indeed, it seems that the origins of this boot are linked to the Victorian era. They were used for riding and their original name was Chelsea Boots: tight at the ankle, thanks to the elastic bands along the sides, they were perfect for the aesthetic standards of that time, comfortable and stylish. In the 60s the Beatles did of this model a characteristic feature of their outfits. They commissioned four boots of this type to the company Anello & Davide, requiring a heel a little bit higher than that one in vogue.
Nowadays, the Beatles Boots stand for classic elegance, still in step with the times. They are perfect both with a pair of pants with the fold and with jeans; it is important that they are not too wide at the bottom. Also comfortable to wear, they are suitable for different situations. [...]
Going to the opera is a date with culture, but also a social event. It’s important dressing well to be in harmony with the context. There are some style rules to follow that are based on three values: don’t be too eccentric, be balanced and have attention to detail.
The kind of clothing varies if it is a first or other evenings, and also changes according to your age. The colors, however, are constant and strictly dark. If you are going at a première the rule would impose a tuxedo, evening suit par excellence, with white shirt, black tie or bow tie, waist band, matching socks with dress, lace-up shoes, mocassins and ankleboots are banned. However, you will also be at ease with a dark suit, maybe with shiny details.
If you are very young you can do without the tie, but the shoe has to be graceful and absolutely black or very dark. Also for you men accessories are important, but don’t overdo: are enough cufflinks, a nice watch, wedding ring, if you are married, and wrapping scarf, but not too bulky to warm you, leaving the theater, on cold winter evenings. Don’t wear too much perfume to not inebriate who is sitting next to you in the box seat or in the audience …. Are you ready, we can only wish you good fun and a good evening …
Even you, do you believe that details make the difference, especially for modern gentlemen? The shoe is the main accessory and on it you mustn’t make mistakes. Sometimes a wrong shoe can damage everything!
Recognizing Derby model
Let’s start with Derby model which takes its name by the Earl who invented it at the end of the Eighteenth century. The main feature of this model is the open lacing: the wings (in technical terms quarters) where are the holes for the laces are free. The Derby is the right choice for men who have a large sole of the foot and a high instep: the open lacing allows to put the foot comfortably and adjust the strings according to its width.
Combination of style
This model is perfect for a more casual clothes. It can also be matched with jeans, if they are in shades of leather or dark brown, but it’s also suitable for a more elegant look if chosen in the black version. Remember, however, that it isn’t recommended for gala evenings because it would leave too much glimpse of the sock …
[...] At the Central Pavilion ground floor Franceschetti showed his collection preview SS2014. An industrial chic and minimalist stand, wooden white-brick and cement made, framed the shoes in a workshop of creativity.
Franceschetti’s stand had at the center, on a wooden pallet, 999 project at its second season. Born as monoproduct for SS2013 season and currently sold in stores, it has now two new models, a loafer and a paraboot, always dressed in suede. Safari, floral and sea prints on the lining make the shoes particular and exalt the colours [...]
Art blends with manufacture. Franceschetti paints his shoes like they were paintings. A new line of shoes, called “luxury handpainted”, is born; finely painted with brush applying more shades of color. It’s dedicated to the true handmade shoes collectors. The manual procedure adopted for the color of the leather makes each pair exclusive and unique. The making is typical of the corporate, having double leather sole and Blake Rapid stitching. Technically the leathers used are defined “crust”; natural color calves are carefully hand dyed with accuracy and craftsmanship.
From the union between Franceschetti’ shoes “luxury handpainted” and Piero Principi’s artwork rises a new art snapshot by the photographer Edoardo Catini (www.edoardocatini.com). The picture, from a private collection, is part of the series ” Lucidi Archetipi” and is entirely handmade with wood and oxidized metals. The shoes are finely painted and they belong to the range “Andrea Franceschetti limited edition”.
Range of colors for the Franceschetti “luxury handpainted” spring / summer collection 2013. The must-have is the finely handpainted moccasin with bright colors: blue, red and yellow. A creative snapshot by Edoardo Catini immortalizes the handpainted moccasins arranged like a sun hanging on to a whitewashed raw wooden background.
“Being passionate about shoes does not mean you just buy them“
The real Lover isn't found in the way he chooses his shoes. but in the way he looks after them.
It's important to change your shoes everyday. Even the best manufacturers are unable to avoid the premature wearing out of the shoes if appropriate time for drying isn't allowed. The leather becomes limp, loses abrasion resistance and consistency.
Shoe care entails applying essential products (creams and polish) and individual methods.
When properly looked after, the shoe can look gorgeous. When mistreated and neglected, it may lose its own lustre in a few months.
"After the shoe" is a set of simple but helpful guidelines on how to take care of shoes.
The shootrees: this is a tool which helps the shoe maintain its original axis hence putting the leather in the best condition to dry evenly...
Tho polish: the real quality polish is beeswax. Its aim is to soften, make waterproof and burnish the leather...
Tho shoe cream: customers get often confused with shoe cream and shoe polish and for this reason they substitute one for the other absent-mindedly. Shoe cream, actually, has a very specific purpose as it works like a detergent...
The conditioner: it is very similar to the cream. with a plus: it contains mink oil...
The soap: because of its content of glycerin, the colours may fade if it is too frequently used. Soaps such as balms or ointments should only be applied to certain footwear: football shoes, mountain boots,...
Conditioning: to dry the soles,it is recommended not to leave the shoes on the floor as they would not be able to breathe. Place them in supine position. Never put damp shoes under unnatural sources of heat...
