When uncertainty seems to get the upper hand, we feel the need to concentrate on what really matters and hang on to our belief in the most authentic and fundamental values. That's why, in order to present the coming A/W 2013-14 collection, we have chosen a backdrop that represents the essence of being Italian: the Nun's Choir at San Paolo Converso in Milan.
An example of the architectural and artistic essence of the Renaissance, this building has been transformed over time into a recording room, in which singers that have made the history of Italian music have recorded their songs.
It is a place that is bursting with charm, successfully uniting the past and the present of our art and our culture, which dates back centuries.
Against the backdrop of this splendid setting that tells our history, Vic Matié will be displaying the present of Italian design through an installation in which reality and the digital dimension combine in a sort of "living" yet virtual picture.
As ever, the shoes will be the stars, taking to the catwalk on the feet of models dressed in leather in the neutral shades of black and white. At the same time, the shoes will be appearing on specially installed screens. This non-stop, two hour performance will bring to the stage the Vic Matié creations for the coming autumn-winter season.
