Tod’s No Code Boots: wear with a pair of slim navy chinos and a button-down collar Oxford shirt

Tod’s No Code Boots: wear with a pair of slim navy chinos and a button-down collar Oxford shirt | Le Marche & Fashion | Scoop.it

For a company so steeped in tradition, the latest collection from Italian shoemaker Tod’s is a bit of a curveball.

Best known for manufacturing supremely soft, very wearable driving shoes in buttery suedes and leathers, the Tod’s No_Code boot, released this month, is an unfussy lace-up — note the brilliant use of leather laces, which look far better than their cotton or nylon equivalents — made to be worn by men and women (though we reckon they look better on us).

Simple, with an understated white sole and clean, unadorned upper, the navy desert boots are our pick from the capsule collection. Wear with a pair of slim navy chinos and a button-down collar Oxford shirt for a played down smart look or go casual with jeans, T-shirt and a cardigan. (£285, tods.com)
