<<Love is the spirit behind my brand, Piero Guidi “Angeli del nostro tempo”. My studies led me to the world of art: I studied for my “Maestro d’Arte” diploma at the prestigious “Scuola del Libro” in Urbino, the pearl of the Italian Renaissance, where Raphael was born. This is where my story began, my passion for art, sculpture and graphics. My knowledge of metals led me to start creating handmade items for everyday use: first belts, then bags, suitcases and, later on, clothing: objects desired by people who surround themselves with beautiful things every day. My Factory, where my ideas and designs are born, is located here in Urbino.
“Angeli del nostro tempo” is dedicated to all the people who buy what I make, every day all over the world, living the spirit of love in all its forms. All the “Angeli del nostro tempo” collections are distinguished by the symbol of two angels in flight, embracing one another in a gesture of love: a man and a woman, which I think is how every one of us would like to be.>> [...]
As a toddler, Marco Massaccesi played in his father’s atelier, a workshop built on Marco’s grandparents’ land near beautiful Ascoli Piceno in the Marche region of Italy. When Marco was twelve years old, his father began to teach him how to work with leather. These lessons did not include modern assembly machines or other contemporary ways of quick manufacturing. Marco practiced and mastered the art of leatherworking using centuries’ old techniques. The world was a different place then, Marco recalls. A time when “designers were designers for real, and bags were truly handmade in authentic Italian workshops.” [...]

Uguccioni is now creator and designer of a company called La Collezione di Pressede, “Collection of Pressede.” Pressede being her great grandmothers name and originating from Prussia.
Uguccioni gathers excess leather scraps from several types of manufacturers. She started off with buying leather from the home furnishing factory she was working for.
She soon started to purchase leather scraps that were left over from multiple companies. The leather was considered no good anymore since it was torn, beaten, scratched, or folded. To Uguccioni, the leather scraps were special, torn in ways the hand couldn’t create. It was beaten down to the faded black you can only get after so many bends and scratches, engraved in textures that weren’t used by stamps, and folded to cuts that were not your typical circle and square combination. Uguccioni had a mission; to give a new life to one that was considered wasted. [...]

Naomi Watts is set to carry an updated version of Diana's favourite handbag
Princess Diana's favourite Tod's handbag is set to feature in Oliver Hirschbiegel's soon to be released biopic.
An updated version of the D Bag Tote, re-named in the late princess' honour after her death in 1997, has been revealed as the handbag Naomi Watts will carry through out the film, which premieres in London on 5 September.
Launched in early1997 and frequently carried by Diana, the original D Bag has been given more rounded edges to compliment its structured shape, yet still retains the classic simplicity loved by the princess.
While the Italian brand's Gommino pebble-soled moccasins are also set to appear in the film, it's thought the handbag will see a fresh wave of popularity once the movie hits cinema screens this autumn.
The new Orciani Women’s Collection is, of course, “wild&rock. But more and more focused on it’s being: concrete, solid, never excessive, with well thought out concessions to glamour. Fashion, in just the right dose, marked by a balance that traces the Orciani philosophy along a logic which is constantly “in progress” and which totally excludes the banal.
It is exactly this logic that explains why the new lines of bags are flank the meticulously redesigned bags already “must haves” in past seasons: first and foremost “Silky” and “Queen” but also “Fan” rendered even more functional with a closure system designed for its daily use as a shopping bag. “Take”, “Bonnie”, “Smart” are the new entries for next Fall/Winter, roomy, unstructured, “easy”, practical, and always sophisticated.
Finally, in perfect street style, with a feminine touch, the Road Bag series, easy, practical satchels, dynamic in shape and material. That which every woman expects is never ignored by the accessory par excellence: that touch of glamour that a bag must add to the total look. The “College” proposals respond to this need: more compact and measured in their volume and construction.
The Every Boy handbag line was the great success of the 2013 Spring – Summer season, and now Piero Guidi is ready with the Fall / Winter versions, with new shapes, details, and color combinations.
These bags are inspired by the transgressive metropolitan world of the 80s: the iconic metal point, the metal tag, and the specific color contrast make them youthful with a strong personality. [...]
Tod’s Autumn Winter 2013-2014 Campaign for women is defined by a repetitive theme in which details make the difference.
Essentially impalpable but substantially well-defined, next season’s style is reflected in each element and in the exquisite refinement of its lines.
A sophisticated and modern elegance to enhance a vivid feminine personality.
