... What is Locanda Montelippo? It’s a dream come true, says Alice Aiudi who – together with her brother Andrea and her parents Giuliano and Ivana – takes care of the Locanda Montelippo, an Italian agritourism in Capponello di Colbordolo, a magic country corner between the Renaissance “Ideal city” of Urbino (World Heritage) and the town of Pesaro on the Adriatic coast.
Lived by shepherds throughout the 20th century, the casolare (the typical Italian country house)belongs to the Aiudi family since 2004. After accurate restoration works carried on according to bioconstruction rules, the agritourism opened to guests in 2011.
All family members have their special tasks: Giuliano supervises the whole farm, Alice takes care of ‘little fruits’ (Locanda Montelippo is specialzed in little fruit production which grow over 2000 sm; as a matter of fact Montelippo has created – for the event “One village, one hundred stories” – a special edition of their famous Tutto more jam, blackberry jam), Ivana is in charge of the Administration and Andrea is the cook, an exceptional cook with a 15-year-long experience in Italy and abroad; he has been executive chef of a prestigious hotel chain, where he and his staff – in San Francisco – were awarded a deserved Michelin star.
