Luca Agnani, Macerata: Videomapping from Le Marche

Luca Agnani, Macerata: Videomapping from Le Marche | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

Videomapping it’s a video projection technique that transforms a surface in a display. Using suitable software you create animations of the surface which are then projected. The final effect is an illusion in 3D, in practice it is the projection of a video.
Luca Agnani is s Digital lighting, 3d & Visual Mapping Artist born in Macerata in 1976.
Luca works for advertising agencies, organization of events, associations, municipalities and individuals, creating artworks for celebration of a place of worship or a monument, at the opening of a shopping center, or the opening night of a nightclub.
He was selected to lead his performances at major italian festivals including the Lpm of Rome, the Kernel Festival in Milan, Dancity of Foligno, the Robot in Bologna, Acusmatiq of Ancona and Barrakuda Festival in Croatia.
Outstanding are his works on the front of the Arena Sferisterio during the week of culture, on the Duomo of Catania on the feast of St.Agatha, on the Mole Vanvitelliana of Ancona for the opening concert of Yann Tiersen and on the Sanctuary of San Michele on the occasion of receiving the UNESCO award.
His works are mainly characterized by the absence of elements and closely related to architecture and its history.

URBINO PROJECT 2013 - Get Academic Credits with a Journalism Course in Le Marche

URBINO PROJECT 2013 - Get Academic Credits with a Journalism Course in Le Marche | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

Urbino lies in the northern part of central Italy’s Marche Region, nestled between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. Many say the Renaissance started here under the patronage of Duke Federico da Montefeltro, whose twin-turreted palace still houses an outstanding collection of period art. Work with a team of experienced media professionals to create multimedia publications about the town of Urbino, Italy, and get a taste of being a foreign correspondent.

Students will live and learn at the University of Urbino, with all meals included.

Students will create a variety of multimedia content that will be published as both a website and an app. You will learn how to use the tools that journalists use today to create compelling multimedia journalism.

During this four-week program, you will learn how to:

  • research and report a story in a foreign setting
  • produce multimedia content for a website and/or tablet publication
  • tell stories in ways that incorporate video, audio, graphics, maps and interactive elements
  • work with an interpreter
  • speak some basic Italian

DATES: June 6 – July 4, 2013

PROGRAM COST: $4,995 + airfare (Includes: Tuition – 3 credits, accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinners on most days, travel insurance, welcome and farewell dinners, program activities and cultural events).

GENERAL LOCATION: Le Marche Region of Italy

MEDIA:

DOWNLOAD URBINO PROGRAM BROCHURE

Students will study photography, international reporting and video and will create multimedia content for an app designed for tablets as well as a website.  Each student will be required to write a story, shoot photos and create either a slideshow or a short video story.

Coached by teachers who have won Pulitzer Prizes and National Magazine Awards, students will work on skills critical for successful journalism, including the basics of reporting and telling compelling stories, through both words and images. Students will learn how to navigate as professional journalists in a foreign culture by working with interpreters and crafting ready-to-publish features and news stories. Students will also study “survival” Italian and learn about the history and culture of the region.

University Credits

Students will sign up for 3 credits from our partner university, Iowa State University. These credits are offered through the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University as JlMC 390k, Multimedia Journalism in Italy. Credits are transferable and may be accepted for journalism elective credit by your college or university. (Note: James Madison University students will sign up for School of Media Arts and Design – SMAD 305 Web Documentary Production: The Urbino Project).

Study in Le Marche: Urbino University

Study in Le Marche: Urbino University | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

The University of Urbino dates back to 1506 when Duke Guidobaldo I founded the “Collegio dei Dottori”, and from its inception, it continued to grow and develop.

Urbino is the ideal place for a summer course in Italian Language and Culture. It is still a small city where you can get from place to place on foot, and it offers many opportunities for foreign students to meet people from Urbino as well as university students and professors

You’re two steps away from a great experience!

Marche d'Eccellenza - Made in Marche Forum

Marche d'Eccellenza - Made in Marche Forum | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

“Marche d'eccellenza” which represents an ongoing exploratory study on a territorial umbrella-brand. Since 2009, stakeholders in the Marche region agreed to collect all regional typical products (agro-food and manufacture) and touristic destinations under this umbrella-brand in order to stimulate new aggregations and valorize the Marche “uniquenesses”. An analysis of the first “Marche d'eccellenza” forum will express the issues arising from dealing with a territorial umbrella-brand. Particular attention is given to the support that the university can offer in assisting this process.
