Francesca Guidoni: Photographing Le Marche

Francesca Guidoni: Photographing Le Marche | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

In the awesome photography of Francesca Guidoni surely predominates that so called broad view of the countryside of the italian Umbria and the Marche. You’ll find no pristine scenarios in in her work, that may have been hardly trod by men. The beautiful fields that Francesca chooses for her snapshots are, however, strongly humanized, transformed for centuries by the activity of those who have lived and plowed these fields. Indeed, her shots continuously show signs of the presence of man: the roads, the farm houses, the remains of crops … dot with a particular beauty the gentle slopes, the profiles of the rolling hills. The best submarine macro life in Europe | David Salvatori & the Macro Underwater Photography in Italy

The best submarine macro life in Europe | David Salvatori & the Macro Underwater Photography in Italy | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

Perched above the idyllic blue waters of the Adriatic Sea, Numana is a small coastal town in the province of Ancona.

The stretch of twenty kilometers of coastline along the Adriatic Sea from Ancona to Numana is called the Conero Riviera, taking the name from the Conero Mountain which is overlooking this area. Famous for the immense beauty of Renaissance architecture and art on land, under the waves this rocky coastline boasts some of the best macro life in Europe.

From the biological point of view then, the sea bottoms of the Conero Riviera represent an extremely fascinating environment. The waters appear dyed green from the richness of phytoplankton, the base of many food chains. The diverse array of macro life is sustained by this great abundance of food coming from the phytoplankton. [...]

Mariano Pallottini's insight:

Great Article. Here the best highlight: "The limited available space ensures these organisms are very concentrated, and the walls of the wreck are covered and full of life: spider crab, porter crabs, blue crabs, small gobies, several species of shrimp, and an incredible amount of species of sea slugs battle for living space in a unique ecosystem where hard and soft bottom organisms live together."

2013: Le Marche Photography Holiday

2013: Le Marche Photography Holiday | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

The 2013 is finally arrived, we can start to forget an horrible 2012 thinking to a new great project for this promising New Year.

2013 is the year of dreamy landscapes, medieval hilltop towns and fabulous cities. With such rich variety in Le Marche, it's a feast for the eyes and the camera.

We would like to organize for all Le Marche Lovers, passionate of photography, a "Photography Holiday" in Spring (for us the ideal season to visit Le Marche.

Since we have never organized something similar, we are asking your help. You can comment this post or contact us (info@tenutasantelisabetta.com) to give your suggestion.
This is roughly what we have in mind:
  • Arrival day - We arrive in Porto San Giorgio in time for an exploration of the town, its seaside and art deco villas
  • Shooting around Fermo - Fermo, on our doorstep, is a beautiful town dating back to Villanovan culture times, full of medieval and Renaissance buildings. A perfect location to get started.
  • Visual revelry in Ascoli Piceno - The morning will be spent shooting around Ascoli Piceno, full of visually stunning Romanesque churchs. After lunch we explore in and around the beautiful Marble Town of Ascoli Piceno.
  • Ripatransone - This is the rolling Le Marche landscape at its best, crowned by the stunning Sibillini Mountains, usually accentuated by the mist filling the valley floor. In the evening there's a visit to the nearby Palm Riviera in San Benedetto del Tronto.
  • Free day in Ancona - Creative opportunities abound, a city is not only about its buildings – Ancona allows candid people shots, perhaps at the lively weekly market.
  • Torre di Palme, Marano and Grottammare Alta - Marano, Torre di Palme and Grottammare Alta are some of the classic viewpoints that epitomise the coastal beautiful landscape. The fortified hilltop medieval towns  offers superb opportunities within its walls and distant sea views beyond.
  • Monte Monaco and the Sibillini Mountains - This incredible Location in the final day will be to trying out some of the new techniques developed through the week.

Conero, Le Marche by Maurizio Pignotti

After a year of work, over 7200 shots, this is my vision of the Natural Park of Conero in the Marche Region,Italy. I used shooting with Drone, motorized slider, and a 2-axis head to make a lot of takes. I slept many nights to open with a sleeping bag under the starry skies. I used the bodies as the Nikon D3S and the Nikon D750, Nikkor optics 14/24 and Sigma 35mm f1,4. I hope to succeed to pass the same emotions that I have feel on cam.

xVeMax the photographer of the decay

xVeMax the photographer of the decay | Le Marche another Italy | Scoop.it

For years, I have been talking online about Le Marche, and always in positive terms, ignoring those things I couldn't be proud about.

But there is someone in Le Marche who has made an art of urban decay.
One of the things that makes a great photographer is the ability to see beauty in unlikely places. And images of urban decay can really put that ability to the test.
Urban decay is the process whereby a previously functioning city, or part of a city, falls into disrepair. Xvemax makes the art of capturing beautiful photographs of a subject that is inherently not beautiful. Xvemax have collected more then hundreds impressive examples of urban decay photography around San Benedetto del Tronto.

Whether it’s images of abandoned rubbish after the weekend's party or simply a disregarded alley or nook, a badly parked car, there is beauty of Le Marche always in background.
