My story of living with a Transparent Borderline and surviving a Distortion Campaign
Sad but true : some people with BPD engage in terrible distortion campaigns about their most loved ones. PLEASE keep in mind that :
1) Not all BPD sufferers do
2) Even those who do deserve care ("diagnosis brings hope")
3) Lots of people without BPD also behave this way
4) Criticism is not always distorsion
5) Systematically invalidating people with BPD's feelings and perceptions is deeply unfair and unrealistic
I don't buy the "manipulative", "pathological lying" and "victim of 'the' (???) borderline" stuff int this vid.
Distortion campaigns and mental harassment have destructive effects on their victims whomever they come from, even "normal neurotics". People suffering from BPD can also be abused and are often misunderstood and stigmatized.
