For 5 months, a family has longed for their daughter.
For 5 months, friends have tried to live normal college lives but simply cannot– they think about Lauren every single day…they reflect on their favorite memories with Lauren, wishing desperately that she was with them now, living life, laughing and building new memories together.
For 5 months, the entire Indiana University campus and the surrounding community has lived in fear, knowing that evil is lurking somewhere amongst them.
And for 5 months now, supporters from around the world have opened their hearts and helped in our search to #FindLauren...
While I never thought we would reach 5 months, I must remind you that 5 is ONLY a number. The Spierer family, Lauren’s friends, the Bloomington community and the world is STILL as hopeful today as we were on June 3rd.
It's not about the money, it's about keeping Lauren's story alive.
There is evil lurking on OUR campus-- its ruining IU's reputation and causing constant fear among students, parents, and the entire Bloomington community. The only way to end this nightmare is to find the person responsible for Lauren's disappearance.
People don't just vanish into the night. Someone knows something.
Keep Lauren's story alive, keep it in the media, keep spreading it around the world...the more people talking about it, the more pressure there is.
Not only do I want the Spierer family and Lauren's friends to have answers but I want MY school to go back to how I remember it best...
See news about your IU friends. Stay in touch. In this issue …

"While I may have started as a stranger, over the past months, I have become Lauren's "friend." One of the most heartbreaking (and telling) things about this case is the deafening silence-- silence from both Lauren's friends and from those known to be last with Lauren that night. No one is talking. For almost 5 months now, I have filled in this void and acted as a voice for Lauren. I have also become extremely close with the Spierers, who now reside in Bloomington, living only minutes from campus and only seconds away from where Lauren was last seen on video that night.
The Hot Chocolate 15K/5K race is on November 5th-- 2 days after the 5th-month mark of when Lauren was last seen on June 3rd. To contribute to the ongoing search for Lauren, I am asking for a donation of $5 dollars that will go directly to the Help Find Lauren Spierer Search Fund. Your donation, whatever amount, will represent your support of my first 5K race and, most importantly, support Lauren's family and friends who continue to search for answers every day.
Lauren Spierer's tragic disappearance from the area surrounding Indiana University, along with the recent story of a young woman who was sexually assaulted and robbed before being dropped off at the airport, is a bold reminder of the need to keep your loved ones safe. But the sad reality is that crimes of all types occur in and around campuses nationwide on a regular basis. MyForce can be used to protect you or your child against crime, but also be utilized as a safety escort on life’s adventure to bring aid during a medical emergency, car accident, or even if one witnesses an incident and recognizes the need for emergency help.
Posters and Tape will be provided. This event is not being put on by the family but I did get thier Blessing after reading the letter to the Spierer's many wonderful people were very upset and wanted to show them B-town does not feel the same as a few we want to see Lauren's posters everywhere not only to Help the Spierer's and Lauren but to also bring Awareness to others and to keep safe. Lauren is not just a IU student she is one of us and we will not go away or stop Supporting the Spierer
