Remains found in a remote area in Indiana, which some initially suspected may be those of missing college student Lauren Spierer, have been identified as belonging to another woman who vanished a year earlier.
The parents of missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer are thrilled that three young women, abducted off the street and thought to be dead, were found last week after years of imprisonment in a Cleveland home.
College graduation ceremonies are supposed to be marked with celebration, but this year's commencement at Indiana University also was marked with thoughts and prayers for a student who disappeared nearly two years ago.
“Putting Up More Posters 4 Lauren Spierer” will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Monroe County courthouse. The event is an attempt by volunteers to refresh the search for Lauren Spierer as the second anniversary of her disappearance approaches.
