iPad 3 display shipments may achieve 7 million target by launch, 10 million soon after

iPad 2 shipments are slowing down, and also the shipments have dropped from 10 million to 8 million displays during this winter. The insiders anticipated that Apple might see a significant growth in the number of tablet it ships. The iPad 2 shipments might drop from 48 million in 2011 to 25 million in 2012, but with the addition of iPad 3 shipments would add another 40 million to account. After the launch of iPad 3, Apple might see a growth of 35% by the overall iPad shipments.

The iPad is most commonly used for Web Browsing as stated by 79% of respondents. 76% used iPad for the purpose of reading and work communication earned 54%. Also 51% said that they “always” use their iPad at work and 79% users said they use the iPad outside the home.
