Just Story It - The Best Ever Biz Story Book List For You

Just Story It - The Best Ever Biz Story Book List For You | lärresurser | Scoop.it

I have finally added a list of my favorite biz story books that you can now access and explore yourself.

These books are the best I've found that will help you build practical storytelling skills, and make us all smarter about business narratives.

The books include everything from conducting narrative research within organizations, how leaders can use storytelling, stories in marketing/branding, how to use stories for change and transformation, and using stories for break-through communication.

The books include many business examples, processes, and how-to steps. I hope they prove useful for you. Enjoy!

PS -- and let me know if you have recommendations!

Museum Box tools for you to build up an argument or description of an event, person or historical period

Museum Box tools for you to build up an argument or description of an event, person or historical period | lärresurser | Scoop.it

Welcome to Museum Box,

This site provides the tools for you to build up an argument or description of an event, person or historical period by placing items in a virtual box. What items, for example, would you put in a box to describe your life; the life of a Victorian Servant or Roman soldier; or to show that slavery was wrong and unnecessary?

You can display anything from a text file to a movie. You can also view and comment on the museum boxes submitted by others.

21 Tips For Marketers About Facebook Timeline For Fan Pages | Mari Smith

21 Tips For Marketers About Facebook Timeline For Fan Pages | Mari Smith | lärresurser | Scoop.it

One of the biggest feature changes that many businesses are upset about is the removal of a default landing tab.

The good news is you can still have custom tabs, plus the like-gating element still functions. You just can’t set a default landing tab. However, each of your apps still has its own unique URL.

That means you can drive traffic to any “landing” page you wish – from within Facebook via ads, your profile and other places as appropriate; and from outside Facebook on your website/blog, other social profiles, tweets, email campaigns, email signature files, and so forth.

With the new Timeline design, you’ll notice the generously large cover image at the top of your page.

Here’s a list of 21 key points (each tip is analyzed in the full article) about the new Timeline design:

The 21st Century Curator

The 21st Century Curator | lärresurser | Scoop.it

Not surprisingly, curation has become the next buzzword after social business. With content coming at us with the force of a tsunami and the fury of a tornado, curators seem to have become our saviours—our sense making guide. One post out of five I have been reading in the past few months seem to be associated with curation or its close cousins—aggregation and filtering. Even as I read, I was tempted to apply some of the curation strategies and put together this post. I like to build some context around the links because—who knows—in the Internet world, a working link today can be a dead link tomorrow.

Subject and Special Interest Portals | Vital

Subject and Special Interest Portals | Vital | lärresurser | Scoop.it

What is Vital?

Vital is delivered by The Open University and part-funded by the Department for Education. It aims to support practitioners in sharing their expertise and thus enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

The core ethos and approach of the programme are centred on the idea that teachers are the experts in education.

Vital's role is to support teachers in extending and sharing their expertise, and ultimately re-taking ownership of teaching as a discipline.

Re-envisioning Modern Pedagogy: Educators as Curators

"Corinne Weisgerber (an Associate Prof. of Communication at St. Edward's University that we were lucky to interview recently) gave this presentation at SXSWedu on March 6, 2012. It's of course targetting educators - natural-born curators. But a lot of what's in that presentation is generic enough so it's interesting to read."

This concerns also librarians, curators as they have always been... :-)
