This tool is created by Marvel itself, so you can be sure of the reliability and correctness of the content.. after all Marvel wouldn't want any false information about their Superheroes to be spread. The page is very up to date, it has been recently updated. I think the content is very interesting for young learners since they can imagine a story about their heroes, and then produce this story with the extremely versatile comic tool. I tried it a little bit and it seems to be very easy to create a simple comic book or comic stripe, but it also seems really really hard to do more complex stuff and I believe it can be very time consuming for children and teachers. Teachers might use this for a suitable introduction to a new topic in English, because it's going to motivate the children to be open for the topic... of course they will be extra motivated if Iron-Man tells them about how important it is to learn English (for example). The site itself is working very well, even with a slower connection. There are no broken links, and nothing lorge has to load. Pictures are only appearing when you want to use them for your comic. All in all it can be, but doesn't have to be an immense help for the teacher and the children!

Australia Network created the page in cooperation with IELTS. The Topics are up to date and well organized, they provide you with Information, videos and tasks and answers. It can be very usefull for English teachers because the given PDFs reduce the time you need to prepare a lesson. Also students have the chance to search for topics they are interested in and get a lot of Information, tips and tasks to do on their own.

I really like this website. For children and adults it's a lot of fun to create own comics and stories. Working with makebeliefscomix.com can be very motivating. After creating a comic on this website they can print them. The website encourages children to write, read and tell their own comics. But as a parent or teacher you should help the children at first because working with it isn't that easy. You need to learn how to navigate the website. After that you can work independently.
I also do like the ideas for teachers, for example lesson plans, and parents how to use the website. In English lessons you can use it to practice new vocabulary or conversation and social skills. Students can work individually, in pairs or in group. As they have to write in the speech bubbles it’s perfect to practice language skills. By reading the comics in front of the class students can practice public speaking.

This site covers a lot of topics about language learning: Grammar, vocabulary, pronounciation and also about tips for language learning and information about interesting topics. The content of the site is created by Heike Pahlow, a translater for english and spanish and also english professor. There are cross-references, but also a lot of advertising. Some materials – for example for the kindergarten - are not free. You have to pay for the material. So not everything is free on this site.
The mask of the website is not interesting and stimulating and also not attractive to navigate.
However, the free parts of the website are easy to understand and you can also test yourself.
We think, that you could give this site as a recommendation on language learning on their own.

I really like this resource. The Dvolver Moviemaker is a great opportunity for the children to become creative. The site is very interesting and stimulating! I am sure that the children will like to work with this website. It is attractive and easy to navigate through the page. The pupils can create their own videos step by step. First they chose a background, than the setting. After they have done this they decide which characters they want to participate in their video etc.. I really like that the pupils have the possibility to create their own dialogues in their videos. With this possibility they can practice writing English texts and improve their language skills. in a very playful and motivating way. I think an English teacher could use this Web resource in his/her lessons, because the pupils can create their own videos individually or in pairs. Moreover the site works very well and the animations are very nice.

I like this resource, because the content is up to date and it has eleven main Topics, which are important for children when they are learning a foreign language. The Topics are well-choosen, intresting and have relevance for childrens every day life. It was easy to navigate but I think it depends on the age and the child's knowledge of Computers. The only negative thing is that you can not see when the source was last updated.

I really like the fact that this site is created by the British Council and is working with teachers and translators who really know how to do their job. As far as I could see all the links worked perfectly fine, the videos were fast and accurate. I also like that it provides a lot of information for parents who want their kids to learn English as a foreign language. It might be useful for young learners, I think of the primary school, because it helps to extend their little vocabulary with songs, practise and videos, which connect the words with a picture they can remember more easily. It is well structured, colorful and provides a great variety of things to do. A negative point is that it might be a bit overwhelming. Overall I think young learners would enjoy this and I like it!

Generally a great idea to offer learners of English the opportunity to express and publish their ideas. Unfortunately the conversion is not as good as it could be. First, there are no information about the publishers and when the page was last updated. None of the articles has got a date when they were written. Although it’s definitely interesting for pupils to write about their own interests I can’t really see much educational potential, as there is not much space for learners to improve their English independently. Who corrects their mistakes and how should they learn out of those mistakes afterwards? In addition to that the page looks a bit boring and old fashioned. Plus some of the links are broken. If I was a pupil I wouldn’t be motivated to publish my articles on this page. Another question is if the pupils actually want to publish their article or if they are afraid of it. New technologies are also not included.
All in all this kind of website has a lot of potential but in my opinion in this case it would be better to use Wikis, especially if we consider the fact that some pupils are afraid of publishing their articles to all people.

I think this page is good for teachers, but not good for students. For students there is not enough Input also it is not easy to navigate. It doesn´t have good structure but the page works without any Problems. The Website is Content up to date but you Need to search for the date. Teachers could use examples of this page for testing their students or making good examples.

Written by Sandra Richter: This site is a very extensive website about a lot of daily topics. The author seems to be a expert in language using. His qualifications and experience are impressive. The page connect comprehensive skills and grammar skills. The content is up to date and useful in a lot of daily situations. The pronunciation of the speakers are good to understand and appear very native.
But in my opinion the overview is a little bit difficult. The site seems very full and the instructions are not immediately clear. The navigation needs such practical knowledge. Nevertheless the practices are very quick and easy to complete. A good point is the classification in the different difficulties. So the users can choose the topic based on their own language levels.
In the end I would say it is a good, free available instrument to learn English in a simple, life-oriented way. Maybe you can use the pages in an English lesson to improve the comprehensive skills of the pupils, when they hear the interviews and dialogues. Though I would say the main part of the use is the private development of your own skills because you can do some practices, when you have a little bit leisure.
